 Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Ekdalian (talk) 09:27, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in South Asian social groups. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hi Praveenkaveer24! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Dhadhor several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Dhadhor, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Ekdalian (talk) 09:50, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Arjayay. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Dhadhor. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 10:05, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Your recent edit to Dhadhor appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 10:05, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at Dhadhor shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - Arjayay (talk) 10:05, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

A question about a sandbox

edit

Why do you have a copy of the text of an article in a sandbox? JBW (talk) 14:17, 4 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Dhadhor, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 09:19, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Dhadhor, you may be blocked from editing.
It was clearly explained, above, that you should not add people to lists, unless they already have their own article on the English Wikipedia, but you have continued doing so. Please stop - Arjayay (talk) 09:32, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Dhadhor. Ekdalian (talk) 17:39, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Dhadhor, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Ekdalian (talk) 09:09, 12 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Page block

edit

Caste promotion is not allowed on Wikipedia, and therefore you have been blocked from the article Dhadhor after many warnings (see above). Note that you can still edit its talkpage to suggest edits, as well as the rest of Wikipedia. If you should edit disruptively elsewhere, though, you may be blocked from Wikipedia altogether. You can request unblock from an uninvolved administrator by placing {{unblock|your reason here}} on this page. Bishonen | tålk 09:21, 12 June 2024 (UTC).Reply
