And although it is useful to build concensus on the talk page first when there is controversy, removing deadlinks and obvious non-neutral terminology can be done without discussion first, though if someone disagrees it is good to talk about it before making further changes. The message I left on your page is a generic "form" message and I didn't mean it to apply to that edit specifically, but to edits in general.
