I am a student studying at USYD and am interested in understanding how Wikipedia works.

Please don’t bite me, I’m a newbie!

I’m a university student in a Wikipedia Education class, and I’m currently learning how to contribute to Wikipedia.
I am approaching my subject in good faith.

If you have any concerns or questions, my tutor’s name is Blythekombucha (talk · contribs). Thanks!

Edits at Platyoides

edit

Sorry for undoing your additions at Platyoides, but they would have needed too much copy-editing. They can be rescued. I suggest you start by adding just the description section under its own subheading. You produce a subheading by putting == either side of the text, like this:
== Description ==

The genus name should be in italics, which you produce by putting '' either side of the text. Note that the genus name is always Platyoides, there's no singular "Platyoide".

You will also need to learn how to add inline references. Perhaps have a look at the wikitext at Olin platnicki, which is a nice simple article.

If I can help, do please ask at my talk page. Peter coxhead (talk) 20:50, 18 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
