Hi, Priyankamohandas! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Sadya several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Sadya, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Whether you are correct or not, Wikipedia requires an internal discussion process when there is a dispute regarding longstanding article content. This is really easy: just write an explanation of your position on the article's talk page to allow other editors to give their opinion. -. Julietdeltalima (talk) 16:47, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sadya

edit

Hello, I am responding here in response to a post you made on my talk page. You were wondering why your changes were being reverted. I am posting my response here to keep it with previous posts.

From the post above from Julietdeltalima, you are looking to change use of the word from Sadya to Sadhya, which would actually also result in a change to the title of the page. As she (I am getting a female from her name) is saying this is a sweeping change that needs to be discussed on the article talk page.

When I googled, I found both spellings - but more Sadhya.

The next step is to go to Talk:Sadya and state that you think the article title and work usage throughout the article should be Sadhya and state why. In this kind of scenario, someone usually googles to find out how often "sadya" is used, and how often "sadhya" is used and why there might be a difference. Then other people that watch the page can comment as well. The decision to keep or change the name is then made by consensus.

I hope this helps.–CaroleHenson (talk) 20:12, 22 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
