Proposed deletion of Yesar Al-Maleki

edit

The article Yesar Al-Maleki has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No independent coverage, does not meet WP:GNG. H-index does not appear to be high enough to be considered on an WP:NACADEMIC basis

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 20:39, 28 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Raed Faisal Alhuwaizi moved to draftsapce

edit

An article you recently created, Raed Faisal Alhuwaizi, is not suitable as written to remain published. The person about which you wrote is non-notable. It fails WP:GNG, WP:PERSON, that is- the dentist hasn't made any notable contributions or got notable awards at highest national level. There is nothing notable in search. Besides, a biographic article needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. A.A Prinon (talk) 06:18, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi A.A Prinon, Well, I am confident that he's well known and noticed in the Iraqi society, but as you may or may not know, Iraqi media in recent years was depending mostly on social media platforms even the official outlets, such as the syndicate of dentists which is an official governmental entity posted on him more than once on social media (here). Their official website is not frequently updated and more than 100 doctors posted about him on social media platforms, of these doctors some are very well known, who are sad to lose him and his professional and scientific input. As for rewards he got awarded with more than 20 awards you can find the source here. I haven't added this yet because I'm trying to collect more than one source and if I can get certificate images but sadly the Iraqi media websites have issues because Iraqis don't browse websites all that much, instead they use social media platforms. If there is anything I can provide you with, please tell me, but I'm pretty sure that this doctor is well known in Iraq and I can provide his social media accounts links. Thank you. --Pro95mustafa (talk) 06:49, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Pro95mustafa I have explained my opinion or reason for moving your article to draftspace. Now, you just submit the draft for review. If a reviewer accepts it then it will be moved to articlespace. And if the reviewer declines it, you can explain him the comment that you left me. A.A Prinon (talk) 07:08, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

thank you A.A Prinon, and hope you stay safe
Hi A.A Prinon, and I apologize for disturbing you and I try to clarify the matter but no response, Is delay normal? What can I do?
@Pro95mustafa:, Though I'm not a reviewer, I'll try to help you. Actually, your draft was declined because of lack of enough notability proofs. See - Wikipedia:Notability. You said that the doctor was notable, got many rewards and contributed notably to the country. But I couldn't find anything related to the contributions of the doctor, his awards or even his death news in any popular news portal websites like Tehran Times of Iran, Aljazeera etc. And as you said that, there are some news of the doctor on social media. But actually, social media are not reliable because any person including I and you can also post anything on social media. And they are also difficult to understand because they aren't written in English language. However, please don't lose hope and stop editing articles. When I was extremely new to Wikipedia, all my articles were also used to be deleted. You can create article about any subject that has enough sources, notability and significance. You can also follow some good articles on Wikipedia to get ideas about editing. Here are some pages you might find helpful:

Please read carefully Help:Referencing for beginners - not the amount of sources is important but the quality and all of your sources are not realiable ones, see here Wikipedia:Reliable sources. CommanderWaterford (talk) 08:46, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi CommanderWaterford Thank you for your response, as I mentioned earlier that the problem with Iraqi sources is that they do not use websites all that much, even for official governmental sources (such as the Syndicate of Dentists or the Ministry of Health) are more active and write official releases on their social media accounts more often than they do on their websites, if they even updated them. This doctor has been awarded on their website, he even has certificates from the Minister of Health himself, this is mentioned in the official university of Kufa website as you can find here The other problem is that half of the official accounts in Iraq don't go through the verification process so even though they are reliable sources, they don't have the verification badge. I hope that you understand how the situation is in Iraq, thank you in advance. --Pro95mustafa (talk) 09:08, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
CommanderWaterford Can you please check this link here it's Urubah Foundation for Human Rights official NGO, Which is verified by the Organizations Registration Department of the Iraqi government, It has published about the death of the doctor and helped orphans in their grief over the loss of the doctor, as mentioned in the description of the post, but everyone publishes in the social media and they don't have a website As well as many official parties which they do not own websites --Pro95mustafa (talk) 12:21, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Onel5969: Though unrelated, I want to say that the article was created on 20th of March. So, it has been too late for being draftified. However, I haven't made any reverts to your move. A.A Prinon (talk) 16:04, 17 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
A.A Prinon, why would you say it "has been too late for being draftified"? Where did you get that idea? Onel5969 TT me 16:07, 17 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
onel5969, Don't take it seriously. I just said that being wondered that for a month, no users including me noticed that the article wasn't suitable to remain published. Because, generally unqualified articles are moved to draft within couple of hours or days. However, don't be serious as this discussion is not a matter of worrying. A.A Prinon (talk) 16:15, 17 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
A.A Prinon, hi. I actually take my work at NPP pretty seriously. I think to take it cavalierly would be an insult to those attempting to write articles. I don't always get it right, but I try my best. I actually try not to draftify articles which have not been tagged for improvement, and I also try to wait at least 3-4 weeks after they've been tagged, in order to give the article's creator, or other editors, a chance to improve the article. Regardless, have a good day. Onel5969 TT me 04:13, 18 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi, onel5969 Hope you doing well, for Zahrat Al Khaleej is a famous magazine in the Arab world that began in 1979 source and is older than 40 years old as she realized her celebrity eligibility as it exists in Wikipedia Arabic So Can you tell me the reason for moving it to draft space? --Pro95mustafa (talk) 01:52, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi. To show notability, you need several references which are in-depth about the articles subject, and are from independent, reliable sources. Currently, the article has zero of these, having a non-reliable source and 2 blurb pieces. Onel5969 TT me 02:36, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hello, can you see this please, 1 from wikipedia Arabic, 2 from Alittihad Newspaper as you can see the reference in the article itself all of that is independent and reliable sources and see this 3, thank you--Pro95mustafa (talk) 20:03, 15 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Digital Media Center

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Digital Media Center, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
