Hi ProManglementer, I noticed you participate in counter vandalism activities and you might already be aware of Twinkle but thought I would drop you a note just in case. If you are not familiar, Twinkle is a gadget you can install in your preferences which makes reverting and leaving talk page template messages much easier. :) S0091 (talk) 19:14, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
@S0091: Thanks, it seems very useful. Hopefully it should make anti-vandalism edits a lot easier. ProManglementer (talk) 19:43, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
Misuse of Twinkle
editYou just now reverted using Twinkle. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=University_of_Michigan_School_of_Public_Health&diff=prev&oldid=911276555
But you incorrectly asserted that I had failed to give an adequate explanation. That is clearly false. Please take a look again. And please be more careful when using Twinkle. --2604:2000:E010:1100:FD72:21A0:C172:76CF (talk) 19:58, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
@2604:2000:E010:1100:FD72:21A0:C172:76CF: A lack of Wikipedia article does not neccesarily mean that a person is not notable. As Assari is ranked 4th on Publons, a well-used website for tracking peer reviews, he does appear to be notable. ProManglementer (talk) 20:10, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
- No - but to be on such a list, one must have appropriate indicia of WP notability. See WP:N. An article reflects notability. Or RS coverage that meets GNG or other WP-accepted notability criteria. Publons ranking is not included in such criteria. You are not supposed to restore material deleted because of lack of notability criteria without proper support - which you lack. Further - your use of Twinkle charging inaccurately that a reason was not provided for the deletion is not the way to go; you have to be more careful. 2604:2000:E010:1100:FD72:21A0:C172:76CF (talk) 20:15, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
- @2604:2000:E010:1100:FD72:21A0:C172:76CF: According to criterion 3 of Wikipedia's notability criteria for academics Asseri is considered notable due to being a fellow of NYAM. This can be verified by the NYAM's fellows directory. ProManglementer (talk) 20:26, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
- Actually, no - that is not license to consider notable anyone belonging to any organization that calls itself an academy. Only one that is a highly selective and prestigious scholarly society or association or a major scholarly society which reserves fellow status as a highly selective honor. NYAM is nothing of the sort. It is a three-thousand fellows advocacy organization. 2604:2000:E010:1100:FD72:21A0:C172:76CF (talk) 20:40, 17 August 2019 (UTC)

- @2604:2000:E010:1100:FD72:21A0:C172:76CF: I now understand why Assari should not be counted as notable and I agree that he should not be on the list of notable alumni. ProManglementer (talk) 21:06, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
