Welcome!
editHello, Prwmusic, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Paul Connolly (music publisher), which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

before the question. Again, welcome! CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 20:34, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
Paul Connolly (music publisher)
editDisambiguation of pages is not done in that way. I removed the image of some guys arse because it just isn't encyclopedic and could be anyone. Wikipedia does not make judgment remarks like: "He is regarded as one of the most successful executives working in the British music industry." or "He has managed to find that elusive balance between working and living well." without sourcing. It makes the page look promotional. Nor does Wikipedia hide external links like the one to the West Ham United Foundation in the article. It can be a reference but not a deceptive link like that. Frankly, you appear to be trying to promote the man. Do you have a connection with him or and organisation that has something to do with him? CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 20:41, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- I just realised that you took the image of him from https://www.whufc.com/club/community/foundation/support-us/friends-foundation. That makes it a Wikipedia:copyright violations. Where did you get the image of the unidentified arse from? CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 20:45, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for all your feedback. As you would have seen, I am very new to Wikipedia so am still getting the grips with everything so your comments/remarks are really useful and greatly appreciated. Regarding the source of the two photos, I was previously able to ascertain, via the West Ham United Foundation, that they had been taken by a renowned photographer called Derrick Santini who has also taken photos of people such as Adele, Dame Judi Dench and One Direction. I then sent a message to Derrick through his website about the photos and he responded to say that he would be happy for them to be used on this Wikipedia page. - You should look at Licensing images: when do I contact VRT? on Commons. That will help with how a professional photographers images can be used. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 15:14, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. That's really helpful. 2A06:5904:1F:E700:C5D0:98E8:F5C1:FD81 (talk) 15:18, 4 November 2024 (UTC)

editIf you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Bbb23 (talk) 17:03, 7 November 2024 (UTC)

Notes:
- In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
- Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:
{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=I believe me being blocked is an error as my sole purpose for editing the page Paul Connolly (music publisher) was to update it with some very basic details about his life after leaving the music industry. This was to highlight the good causes he now supports. This was not being done for any compensation. I do not work for the subject and never have. However, I understand why Wikipedia may have reached this conclusion, although this is not the case. My username does not represent a business, operation, group or website. It only represents myself - it is my initials (prw) with the word "music" attached to them. I am sorry this gives the impression that it is more than just one individual. The contributions I would like to make to Wikipedia if unblocked are to use the extensive knowledge I have to enhance pages that I am qualified to edit (primarily about music and the music industry). As I said, in the case of this page it was simply to make some very basic editions to a page that were little more than mentioning a few good causes and charities the subject supports. To support these updates, I then wanted to add a couple of recent photos of the subject. As you will see, I had had previous dialogue with a Wikipedia editor about these to get an understanding of the process of ensuring the photos could be used. I followed the advice given by contacting the person who took the photos and the photographer then emailed Wikipedia to give his approval for them to be used. When I then added these photos again, after following the procedure I was given by Wikipedia, I was then blocked. It would be good to add back in the edits to the page that simply summarised the good causes and charities the subject supports. If I am unblocked, I would be more than happy to share any proposed edits I would like to do for approval before making them. If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}}
with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

There is a YouTube channel called "PRWmusic" so that renders your username unavailable. You say you work in the music industry, that means that you have a conflict of interest. Edits are not based on personal knowledge, but on what independent reliable sources say about a topic. 331dot (talk) 09:18, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
