. Thank you. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:15, 25 September 2010 (UTC){{unblock|I chose the username "publiclands" because I am in the process of writing, and plan to edit, future articles dealing with several aspects of public lands. "Public Lands" is a general term, and therefore felt that it would be a good choice for a username. I do not believe I have violated any "conflict of interest." The article I created "American Frontiers: A Public Lands Journey" was written to inform the public about a project that was done with the purpose of educating the public about public lands. Informing the public about public lands, and related projects, is important, and should be viewed as valuable information. The resources available for the public on this subject, as of now, are limited. I have created a new username as suggested, and respect your actions, but still hold my case that this is a valuable article that should be available to the public for educational reasons.Publiclands (talk) 20:32, 25 September 2010 (UTC)}}
- Just because you intend to write about public lands is not a good reason to call yourself "public lands". Exactly the reverse is the case. You can argue the case, or you can just apply for a username unblock using the template {{unblock-un}} I recommend the second option. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 20:37, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- My two cents: your username right now seems to be less of a problem than the editing. It is a pretty benign username, so long as it's not being used to support a specific organization. Magog the Ogre (talk) 23:13, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- I concede without argument that the name is relatively benign; I still feel that changing it would make an unblock more likely. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 11:17, 26 September 2010 (UTC)
