Freedom of speech

Freedom of speech is a constitutional right, as it should be, protecting Americans from government oppression. That is completely irrelevant to Wikipedia, which is an educational effort to collect information. As such, we have no place for nonsense created by people too ignorant to know the long history of how H. P. Lovecraft and his friends (such as Robert Bloch of Milwaukee; Clark Ashton Smith of California; Robert Howard of Texas; and others) made the whole thing up out of whole cloth. Any assertions to the contrary are based on hoaxes and misinformation created by persons of incomprehensible motivation. I am sorry if somebody fooled you with some of this folderol; but not sorry enough to let it remain in Wikipedia to mislead the credulous. --Orange Mike | Talk 22:39, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Speedy deletion nomination of Send More Cops!

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
