NOTICE to all members of WikiProject Pokémon
editFollowing a discussion on the Project's talk page, we will be updating WikiProject Pokémon's list of participants. To do this, all users previously listed as "Active" have been moved to the "Inactive" list; after this change anyone may add/re-add their name to the "Active" participants list. As your name was one of those on the Active members list, I am notifying you in case your active interest remains. Thank you for your cooperation in our efforts to keep our list of active participants as accurate and up-to-date as possible. ~ Amory (user • talk • contribs) 04:29, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
File:Blood of Kingu - Alternative Artwork.jpg listed for deletion
editAn image or media file that you uploaded or altered, File:Blood of Kingu - Alternative Artwork.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Wormed, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.wormed.net/bio_eng.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 11:11, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi. I appreciate that you made some efforts to paraphrase the text on Wormed so it would no longer be a copyright infringement. Unfortunately, adding synonyms and minor alterations in the sentences won't relieve the plagiarism issue. As it is currently written, the text will need to be deleted as a copyright violation. You are welcome to rewrite the text using original language. The page on WP:Close paraphrasing can provide you with some explanations and help. In the long run, it is always better to simply write the text from scratch using your own words. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Regards. Theleftorium 14:47, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
- Sounds good, but please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If the band gives permission, they need to contact the Wikimedia Foundation by sending an e-mail to permissions-en@wikimedia.org from an address associated with the original publication permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL licenses. There is a boilerplate release form at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries which can be helpful. Please make sure that they provide a clear link to the website in the e-mail and specify by name the articles on Wikipedia in which the material is being used. Once the e-mail is received and processed by a member of the Communications Committee, the article's contents will be restored if their release is legally sufficient. Please make a note that they've done this here to help guard against premature deletion of the page. You can compose a note or very simply paste the following on the talk page, brackets and all: {{OTRS pending}}. Theleftorium 16:06, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
The article Paysage D'Hiver has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence of passing WP:MUSIC. Name is a common phrase in French, hence Google is unavailing.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RayTalk 19:20, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Articles for deletion nomination of Paysage D'Hiver
editI have nominated Paysage D'Hiver, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Paysage D'Hiver. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. SilkTork *YES! 16:20, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Wikipedian in Residence at the National Library of Scotland
editI'm just dropping you a quick note about a new Wikipedian in Residence job that's opened up at the National Library of Scotland. There're more details at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scotland#Wikimedian in Residence at the National Library of Scotland. Richard Symonds (WMUK) (talk) 15:03, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Orphaned non-free image File:Dark Ages Chronicle of the Plague Cover.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Dark Ages Chronicle of the Plague Cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:15, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
