Japanse flight
editPlease stop removing valid flights. Everything is still bookable. This sounds like vandalism. The Banner talk 17:06, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- You gotta do the next click to flight iteration. All flights offered are routed via FRA or ZRH or something: https://i.imgur.com/R6SiRPb.png
- Same for ANA to MUC. Flights were bookable a couple of weeks ago, but now except for FRA all bookings for flights to Germany for summer season 2023 are (temporarily?) closed. Qitchybooo (talk) 20:25, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- The flight can be booked on the ANA booking-website. So why you see these flights as non-existant is a mystery to me. The Banner talk 22:29, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- I have checked that website this afternoon. But even a flight with multiple stop is still a flight from A to B.The Banner talk 22:30, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
- But only nonstop/direct flights should be listed according to WP guidelines as complexity would extremely rise. For your example there are no flights bookable from A to B with ANA, it's rather A (DUS) to C (NRT) via B (ZRH) with Swiss Intl Airlines or a train ride with Deutsche Bahn from A* (QDU) to D (FRA) and a flight from D to E (HND) with Lufthansa. It's just a code sharing between ANA and Lufthansa or ANA and Swiss.
- So regarding common sense, ANA to NRT should be deleted from Düsseldorf's destination table - and ANA to HND from Munich - as resumption is currently postponed yet again. Qitchybooo (talk) 09:06, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- There is no reason to only allow non-stop flights. And suspended flight are not cut outright. The Banner talk 09:16, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- But where can I find that guideline? The Banner talk 09:33, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- "7. List non-stop and direct flights only. That means the flight number and the aircraft, starts at this airport and continues to one or more airports." Source: Wikipedia:WikiProject Airports/page content#Passenger Qitchybooo (talk) 10:54, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- So stop removing direct flights with stopovers, as they are allowed according to this guideline. The Banner talk 11:37, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- List non-stop and direct flights only. That means the flight number and the aircraft, starts at this airport and continues to one or more airports. Avoid using the description 'via' since that is more correctly listed as another destination. If passengers cannot disembark at a stop on a direct flight, then do not list it as a destination or as 'via'. Direct flights are not always non-stop flights. However, avoid listing direct flights that contain a stop at a domestic hub, as virtually all of these are simply flights from one "spoke city" to a hub, with the plane continuing from the hub to a second spoke city. Furthermore, these flights often involve plane changes, despite the direct designation. Including these flights dramatically increases the length of destination listings, artificially inflates the airline's presence at a location and requires constant updating, as these "timetable direct" destinations have little rhyme or reason and may change as often as every week or two. The Banner talk 11:50, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- You obviously mix up... Well, everything. A nonstop flight goes directly from A to B. A direct flight goes from A to B via C, but with one flight number and no aircraft change. ANA is currently offering none of them at all between DUS/MUC and Japan! You currently can't book any of these type of flights via ANA! Not a single flight!!
- All the flights listed are offered and operated by codesharing partners like Lufthansa and Swiss International Airlines. It's their flights. It's their flight numbers. It's their aircraft.
- The current state is (and it's very simple): No ANA flights from DUS to NRT within the next 13 months! No ANA flights from MUC to HND within the next 13 months! No nonstop flights! No direct flights! Nothing! Qitchybooo (talk) 12:01, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- Interesting, at first you said that only non-stop flights were allowed. Now you back track from that. The Banner talk 12:09, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
- No, I don't. Qitchybooo (talk) 12:10, 9 September 2022 (UTC)

Start date removed as service started
editThere is no need to remove the source of a specific connection when that connection has started. Therefore I restored the source you removed on Düsseldorf Airport but not the start date. The Banner talk 20:48, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
- Such sources were removed on Wikipedia after inagural flight for like decades. But do what ever you want. Like THE HON. You both are very obstinate and edit entries at will. Its getting more and more jumbled and confusing on german airport's wiki pages. But please promise to do such a mess only on DUS, MUC etc. wiki pages. The rest of the community still works the common way. Cheers! Qitchybooo (talk) 18:09, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
- Please keep WP:VER in mind. It might not be a good idea to ignore a policy. The Banner talk 18:13, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
- lol
- You don't need no reference for ongoing flights. All this stuff has long been discussed again and again on Portal:Aviation. It's about to keep overview and readability. So 99% of connections have no ref.
- Your interpretation of the rules is the problem with these tables. There are a lot of changes in the schedules and most of it cannot be substantiated by sources. Only by GDS, but they are no reliable source on Wikipedia. You and especiallay THE HON come along, interpreting the rules as it suits, deleting/editing content before discussing with the community/creator and therefore destruct the overview and validity of these destination tables. So we keep for example ceased flights for months, because the only source is a german blog for cessation, what THE HON (before he got an account he used multiple IPs) doesn't accept. So you bring up a business related and independent search engine. No acceptance. But for his pushed entries, he turns the tables and referrers to a german blog. 🤣
- Same thing with deleting seasonal flights with the new interpretation of the rules "there is no hint on the airlines' homepages about these connections yet". Well, they are still in the booking engine and destinations tables, but... Yeah, don't give a sheee, you keep editing the tables your way, right?! 😉
- Check the Wiki pages of other airports abroad. There are way much less of these little and useless fights. Still a waste of time to get involved here. Qitchybooo (talk) 20:13, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
- WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Just add sourced information and leave the sources when a connection started. Problem solved. The Banner talk 20:36, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
- What problem?! You edited the table in your war and started a discussion with me. Just do your stuff and don't bother me. Problem solved. Qitchybooo (talk) 20:47, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
- I gave you some friendly advice but your replies are quite hostile. No problem for me. The Banner talk 20:50, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
- Because you two guys are annoying. Don't notify me about what you are doing so I don't get notified and waste my time to check why. Qitchybooo (talk) 20:57, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
- I guess you will see edits reverted as "disruptive editing/removal of valid sources". The Banner talk 20:59, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
- You don't get it. I don't care. I didn't edited your changes. Do whatever you want, but don't bother me with it. Qitchybooo (talk) 21:02, 21 November 2022 (UTC)
