Sollentuna
editHi. Do you know why SvFF calls the team in Division 2 for Sollentuna FF instead of Sollentuna FK? Qed237 (talk) 21:17, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- I have no idea. The club's statutes explicitly says the club is called Sollentuna FK and nothing else. Sollentuna FF doesn't exist and IMHO the Svenska Cupen article should reflect that. There are third party sources about the game if needed. Regards QubeCube (talk) 21:24, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- An interesting thing to note is that SvFF does have a page for Sollentuna FK here, the only team that isn't included is the men's team in Division 2. Someone on SvFF has made an error. Regards QubeCube (talk) 21:55, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- SvFF has a page for Sollentuna FF here, with only the division 2 team. The reason I asked is that I know a team called Boo FK (previously Nacka FF), which is the "first team" for the club Boo FF (see here) and I thought this could be a similar case. Some clubs separate their first team from the original clubs for some reason. Qed237 (talk) 18:33, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, that's why I linked to the FK, there are both variants though there's no mention whatsoever on the club's website of FF with the exception of SvFF league tables. Therefore there doesn't seems to be like the Boo-Nacka situation. The club and "first team" is called Sollentuna FK throughout the website, see for example the club's article about the cup game in question. I must say I'm curious as to why the club itself hasn't asked SvFF to change this. Or maybe they have asked but SvFF works slow/doesn't care. QubeCube (talk) 21:34, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
- Or it could be the fact that they used Sollentuna FF in their application to SvFF. Perhaps we should even contact the club director. Qed237 (talk) 21:45, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
