Speedy deletion nomination of User:Queenuniverse

edit

A tag has been placed on User:Queenuniverse requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. @Theroadislong: there are many things that have changed since 2017, all the links and citations are post 2017 and she won beauty contests after 2017 june. When super Mario deleted her article. I think you are not reading the article, you just want this page to be deleted because she is an indian.

  Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. David Biddulph (talk) 08:59, 25 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Dear User:Theroadislong thanks for everything, but I m facing a problem whenever I click to this page, it says redirected from draft. How can we fix this issueQueenuniverse (talk)

If you click on the link above, or go directly to Naaz Joshi, you won't see the "redirected from". You will see "redirected from" only if you go to Draft:Naaz Joshi or to User:Queenuniverse/sandbox. --David Biddulph (talk) 08:44, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you User:David Biddulph dear but when I go through Google and type naaz joshi and click on wiki it says redirected from the draft. Can you suggest me what to be done in this case Queenuniverse (talk)

That's a problem with Google, not with Wikipedia. The draft is NOINDEXed, so shouldn't be seen by Google. I believe that Google has a feedback feature if you wish to complain to them. --David Biddulph (talk) 09:12, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Queenuniverse. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Naaz Joshi, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 10:52, 25 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks a lot, I shall keep in mind as not to write about people I know or myself. Thanks for the guidance user:Theroadislong

I deleted your mentions of having a one year old baby as it raises questions. We both know that she could not have given birth to the baby herself. So she had to adopt the baby, if that is the case you will need mentions of it in a reliable source, otherwise people will challenge it and possibly the article, as you wrote it you left the impression that she birthed the baby, but that is impossible.Oldperson (talk) 19:50, 25 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Dear user:Oldperson she didn't give birth but I was reading in a website named yourstory that she adopted a baby. Not giving an impression that she gave birth to a child. My apologies if it appeared like that Queenuniverse (talk) Queenuniverse Thanks for clearing that up, however if I am confused imagine another reader, so find a Reliable Source (RS)to quote. Otherwise I would leave that out.Oldperson (talk) 20:20, 25 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Dear user:Oldperson thanks so much for your guidance once againQueenuniverse (talk)

Dear User:Theroadislong Ms joshi winning miss republic international beauty ambassador and united nationals ambassador have been found on many RS so I believe that mentioning these titles will be good for people who shall access this page in future to gather more information on her life. Your copyrighted photograph of Naaz Joshi

edit

You have stated on commons that "This picture belongs to naaz joshi and she has the sole copyright for this image" and yet you also state that it is "your own work" can you explain? If the copyright belongs to her then you have no right to upload it under a free license, I have tagged it for deletion. Theroadislong (talk) 12:55, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

I have also tagged the Facebook photo you uploaded, you CANNOT use other people's photographs it is a violation of their copyright.

Dear User:Theroadislong thanks for the guidance as you are really senior in wikipedia can you advice that what sort of pictures can we upload on the Wikimedia, thank you. Queenuniverse (talk)

Any photograph that you have taken yourself and uploaded or one that has the correct license details here Creative Commons license. Theroadislong (talk) 16:06, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Dear user:Theroadislong I will perhaps wait n let some one upload the picture who has shot her

Thanks Queenuniverse (talk)
But instead you added a third photograph which was also VERY clearly a copyright violation! Theroadislong (talk) 17:27, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

I thought that writing an article on the Miss World Diversity Pageant would be a challenge so I researched it and found this on Facebook it does appear to have a lot of worldwide participants. Do you know of any other mentions?Oldperson (talk) 20:03, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Dear User:Oldperson I don't know much about the pageant, I have read only about miss joshi, through newspapers, articles and in television. I only know that last year there were 22 countries and this year was 14 countries because this was also mentioned in the website .I am afraid to do a new article as of now, because I want my first article to settle first. I am finding it difficult to add her pictures in wiki, as I don't know her and wiki says I can only upload the pictures I have taken. Even if I contact her on social media, how will I prove that she has given permission for using her picture Queenuniverse (talk)

I addressed the issue of obtaining permission here: on the Naaz talk page. At that link is a form that needs to be signed and sent to Wikimedia that grants permission, who ever signs and sends the form should also send a copy of the photo with a caption, as well and notify you when it is done so you can reference it with WMF.A lot of trouble but that is the way that WMF stays out of legal trouble.Oldperson (talk) 21:00, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, I'm Synorem. I noticed that in this edit to Naaz Joshi, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Synorem (talk) 06:12, 27 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
