Reliable sources

edit

Thank you for the discourse so a couple things I want to bring up here:

1. The accusations by Jisu about Laura (one of the girls in Jisu's allegations) have since been retracted, and never really had reliable sources to back them up in the first place.

2. The accusations by Jisu about Laura, does not align with what Laura herself has said about the interaction, when she clarified the matter over discord chat.

So on the topic of reliable sources, I think clearly we're seeing that the initial accusation has really pretty dubious substantiation behind it.

I am going to assert here that in order to maintain neutrality it would be unreasonable to consider Jisu's allegation as reliable, but Laura's added context and clarification (which directly contradicts what Jisu published), as unreliable. After all, only Laura and ZeRo actually know what happened, Jisu is a third party, who had (since retracted), her own version of events, which many would consider a rumor.

Thank you for your consideration. Shuikai (talk) 07:05, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

After looking into it, I've decided to remove any mention of ZeRo and Laura from the article since it doesn't appear to have been covered by secondary sources (ESPN/Dot Esports). I removed the statement He later confessed that the incident was true and that he knew her age, but claimed the second alleged victim he spoke to earlier in 2014, "Laura", lied about her age. as it was completely unsourced (and if a source exists, it would be a later retracted primary source anyway). Thanks for bringing this up as I hope to keep the article in compliance with WP:BLP and WP:V. Qwaiiplayer (talk) 12:15, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good. I would also take a look at "Following allegations of sexting two minors in 2014", one of those minors would be Laura so you could change "two" to "a".
You could also argue none of his accusations were actually substantiated with reliable sources, but the Katie one is at least plausible and has not been denied so if you want to keep it up I think it is reasonable.
However there still is the chance that this Katie person either does not exist, or was not a minor, as it was an anonymous accusation by a mystery person nobody knows. 50.67.186.31 (talk) 18:56, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
There's a difference between allegations and actual occurrences. ZeRo was accused of sexting two minors; this is undisputed and supported by reliable sources, so I think it's fair to keep in the article. It's also fair to keep "Katie's" name in the article since her name was used in the secondary sources as well. As long as appropriate language is used then the article should stay in the guidelines of WP:BLPCRIME. Qwaiiplayer (talk) 19:07, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Deleting Henry Kaplan Wikipedia

edit

How dare you, you can't erase history. What gives you the right to delete a Wikipedia article? You're no real Wikipedian, SMH! Spencer H. Karter (talk) 17:49, 3 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

I'm not trying to erase history. I'm proposing an article for deletion from Wikipedia on the grounds of non-notability. If you or any other editor objects to the proposal, then follow the instructions on the tag. Qwaiiplayer (talk) 17:54, 3 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
