Firing vs. Non-renewed

edit

As Burke was a term-based contract employee, not being extended does not equal being fired. He may feel that way, as would any other player or employee who is not offered a new contract, but all verifiable and WP:INDEPENDENT sources say "not renewed" or "not offered an extension". (Example 1, Example 2, Example 3, Example 4, Example 5) We base our edits here on neutral point of view, and how his statements on how he felt about his departure are certainly non-neutral. Please take it to the Talk:Vancouver Canucks if you wish to re-add and try to achieve a consensus per our WP:BRD procedures. Thank you, Yosemiter (talk) 17:48, 3 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
