No One is Illegal Montreal
editIt's spam. The "references" are not WP:RS, they are either to the organisation or similar bodies, apart from a newspaper report of an incident. We are actually told nothing about the organisation - how many mambers, how is it organised? This also raises questions about notability, which seems to rest on a demo or two. Are there other NOIIs - there is nothing to suggest there is, or how the Montreal cell fits in
- The lead, which is supposed to summarise the article, just states their aims, which it accepts as gospel As their motto suggests - no RS for membership of a worldwide movement of resistance...
- Police brutality and immigrant justice were the other contributing issues that inspired the creation of their organization nothing neutral to support this claim
- Once again, their main focus with the poster projects is on police brutality. what police brutality - no source also develop proactive strategies to eliminate violence by the Montreal Police.
- interviewed four individuals currently trying to fight for justice against police brutality in Montreal assumption that there is brutality, no source of course
- As you search through the articles about police brutality on NOII, there is a website which further elaborates on killings by the Montreal Police from 1987 to 2008. Again, unquestioning acceptance of NOII's claims
- only to receive an inconsiderate response pov
- What has the 1914 incident got to do with NOII
- is to stop the unfair deportation of this refugee claimant as he is a Canadian citizen and has a right to live in Canada. pov without RS
- This discussion was the product of an unfair attempt by the Canadian Government to deport an Algerian family. pov without RS
- as well as solutions to the harsh policies concerning refugees and immigrants pov without RS
- the Canadian Government announced that it was unsafe for Canadians to visit Algeria but that it was safe for Algerians to go back to their country, causing the Action Committee for Non-Status Algerians to create public awareness of this unjust decision pov without RS, also not necesssarily a contradiction since different criteria
- No On Is Illegal-UK has expressed their distaste of immigration controls. They oppose the media's view of immigration control as a "basic, god-given fact of life", and argue that immigration control is not a natural feature of life. Their argument is that we are dealing with humans not vegetables, therefore we should treat our neighbours with respect and not as intruders, as they firmly believe that all humans have rights, whether they are immigrants asking for status or born-citizens. how is this encyclopaedic?
- donations and benefit shows.
- stating the income would help establish if notable
- There are no employees as the organization is volunteer-based. so probably not notable
Whether you are affiliated to this group or not, it's just an uncritical, biased regurgitation of the group's aims and actions. Nowhere is there any attempt to give balance - does the organisation have any critics of its opinions or actions. Do the police/government/public accept the claims made, if not what is their response. This is an encyclopaedia, not a soapbox, and is not the place to promote the views of any organisation Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:44, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
