Thank you for coming clean about your creation of this account and your post at User talk:Kaldari.
At no point did I accuse Kaldari as being the operator of this account: I only raised it as a possible explanation for your alarming post. Now, let me ask you a question: have you previously edited under another account? Geometry guy 00:58, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Geometry guy, I guess I kinda had it in for you because Geometry is my most hated Math subject when compared to something like Algabra. :) I have edited under different IPs as my IPs rotate, but I just created an account. Hope this answers your query. RFA Guy (talk) 17:30, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if that was a direct answer to my query, but no matter: thank you for your explanations and welcome to Wikipedia as a registered user! It is a pity you were put off math by Geometry: had you pursued it, you would have discovered that Geometry and Algebra are actually two sides of the same coin, and illuminate each other as a consequence. Never mind. I wish you well in your contributions. Geometry guy 20:39, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, I think it is a direct answer to your query. If there is something else you want answered then feel free to ask in a polite manner. RFA Guy (talk) 20:34, 25 November 2011 (UTC) 20:34, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
- If it is direct answer, then you are saying that you have never edited Wikipedia under another account. I'm happy to assume that henceforth, as assuming good faith is a policy I agree with. If my assumption is wrong, then you will rise enormously in my esteem of you by correcting it, even if you say "I had another account, but I don't want to tell you about it." Hi, I dont think you telling me to AGF is appropiate for an edit summary. I will like to end this discussion here. RFA Guy (talk) 20:57, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
- That's interesting, and illustrates the problems with communication over a text based medium. I actually used "AGF" in my edit summary to summarize my preference, as expressed in the actual edit, to assume good faith unless and until I am presented with convincing evidence to the contrary. You interpreted it differently. Some of the most vehement disagreements on Wikipedia have probably arisen from simple misunderstandings such as this. Geometry guy 21:09, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I was reading that wondering whom you were referring to. Apologies. RFA Guy (talk) 21:13, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
- The brilliant thing about having a user talk page is that you have a fairly free license to manage it as you think best. The only caution I would add is that others may judge you on how you manage it. For instance, you could have simply deleted my "AGF" post above instead of replying to it, but you didn't, and a misunderstanding was resolved as a consequence. That's good management.
