Clean up on aisle Moon...

edit

Thanks for all the good information added to the pages concerning the recent lunar mission. I have cleaned up your edits (took a lot of time) so in the future maybe remember that names of rovers are italicized (missions are not), that 'Moon' and 'Earth' are uppercased, that 'Chinese' is uppercased, and that 'four years ago' should be 'four years earlier' as years keep changing. Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 12:09, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

River Plate's possible Qualifiying for Fifa Club World Cup 2025

edit

Hello NASAB Now River Plate still has to win a match or they have to get through to next round with maybe 2 additional draws looks like only a question of time...matematical they aren´t qualified but everything has to go wrong that they won't qualify... @Eschmer71 However, it appears to be only a matter of time before River Plate qualifies for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. A win by the white and red club against Libertad on Tuesday, combined with a draw or defeat for Nacional against Deportivo Tachira, would secure their passage to the tournament.—🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 04:20, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
think there has not to be a combination winning next match secures their spot... Eschmer71 (talk) 05:22, 12 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Eschmer71 I have good news as per https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5544103/2024/06/07/club-world-cup-united-states-soccer/
The three remaining places will go to the winner of the Copa Libertadores in November, another South American club determined by ranking in November and a team in the U.S. FIFA has not yet disclosed how this final U.S. place will be allocated but sources familiar with the process, who spoke anonymously because conversations over these matters are confidential, have indicated that two proposals are under consideration. The most likely option is to give the place to the MLS Cup winners (the team who win the MLS play-offs final). The more radical proposal is to have the winner of the Supporters’ Shield (the team who has the best record in MLS during the 2024 regular season) face off against the winner of the MLS Cup, creating a one-off money-spinning spectacle of jeopardy. If the same team win the Supporters’ Shield and the MLS Cup, they would automatically advance. There are some logistical reasons as to why the more sober option of the MLS Cup winners earning qualification may be preferred. There is uncertainty over when the special play-off would be played — could it be squeezed in after the MLS Cup in the autumn, or would it need to be during the 2025 pre-season? If the latter option was taken, we would not know the full line-up when the Club World Cup draw is made — likely in December. This would make planning, marketing and sponsorship sales more complicated and could be particularly precarious if Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami are in a 50-50 tussle to qualify, leaving FIFA, just months out from the tournament, needing to plan for scenarios with and without one of the most famous athletes on the planet.—🪦NΛSΛ B1058 (TALK) 14:47, 8 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
