RTY1998
Welcome!
editWelcome to Wikipedia, RTY1998! I'm Spongefrog, and I've been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I'm here to say hi. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that I'm supposed to recommend to you:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
It's a bit like giving you an instruction manual (and who reads the manual!?), so just ask me if you get stuck with anything. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Actually, I didn't, I was just trying to be interesting. Anyway, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, see Wikipedia:Questions, or ask me on talk page. Really, ask me. I love answering stuff.
And yes. I am a real person, and this isn't an automated process. Lord Spongefrog, (Talk to me, or I'll eat your liver!) 21:14, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Alex Rider pages
editJust been thinking about it - really my opinion counts for nothing. If you want to create new pages based on the characters, go right ahead. The only thing I'd suggest is to be objective about it - if your pages are just copy & pastes from the original condensed page, then there's nothing gained from the new pages, and somebody somewhere will nominate them for deletion. I suppose Starbright could benefit from a picture of Alicia Silverstone in her role... a_man_alone (talk) 17:03, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to The End of Time, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses novel, unpublished syntheses of previously published material. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. Cirt (talk) 20:30, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- I know what this is about. Well where was the source saying that it was the winning ticket. I said that the Dr didn't comfirm it was a winning ticket. God! RTY1998 (talk) 21:19, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Wait a minute Cirt. I presume you're referring to this change? (If not, please trout me.) But wasn't RTY1998 actually trying to lessen the OR with that edit? Nowhere does it state that it is definitely the winning ticket. If I've missed something, tell me. I probabaly have... Lord Spongefrog, (I am Czar of all Russias!) 21:31, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Henderson's boys timeline
editSorry to bother you but it's a bit more difficult than that. Take this one for example. That's quite a lot of work. If you'd be willing to do it I would help as much as I could. I'm sorry if I sound sour. Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 20:12, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- It's okay. You didn't bother me. I can be a lot worse then you were at times. But that HP must of taken forever. I can try. I can really only manage the bits inbertween HB and CHERUB. Say 1946 - 2005. I haven't read HB. But I'm getting it in a few weeks. I'll preduce it then put it on Wikipedia. It'll be started by the twenty-fifth. Then you can help. Or I can just show you my draft. RTY1998 (talk) 21:06, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. Remember, if you need a hand with it, just give me a shout. Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 11:09, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
- Okay. Well here's what I've done so far. Edit it to help. RTY1998 (talk) 12:40, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

User Subpage
editExcuse me. Can I please make myself a user Subpage? RTY1998 (talk) 15:16, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- You could do if you wanted. Have a look at this it may help. What you need to do is type in the address: www.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:RTY1998/the name of your subpage. What are you trying to create? A guestbook? A sandbox? A monobook? Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 17:26, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- Just an article about some short stories and fanfiction I'm writing. RTY1998 (talk) 17:52, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- What about fiction? Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 18:13, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- Try User:RTY1998/fan fiction or User:RTY1998/fiction or User:RTY1998/stories. Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 18:22, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- Okay thanks. I'll start. RTY1998 (talk) 19:25, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- Do you think I can have two subpages. If so can one of them just be a page for random coversation? RTY1998 (talk) 19:29, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- You can have as many subpages as you wish, but try to keep them related to wikipedia. Try making a sandbox. User:RTY1998/Sandbox That's your sandbox. You can use it to test articles. I've also got a toolbox and a list of created pages and helpful editors. Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 20:01, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
- So it's a no on the conversation? RTY1998 (talk) 17:00, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- You can make as many subpages as you like (well, within reason, see WP:UP and WP:SUBPAGE), but you're not really allowed to use Wikipedia for random conversation, see WP:MYSPACE. Lord Spongefrog, (I am Czar of all Russias!) 17:03, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Updates
editHi RTY1998, there's a few announcements to make in relation to the project. Firstly, please consider subscribing to all the latest task force news by adding {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Children's literature/CHERUB and Henderson's Boys task force/Outreach/Updates}} to your userpage. Secondly, please consider adopting a stub class article and promoting it to start class. Please do the book articles first as they are more important. For ideas on how to get to Start class or beyond can be found at some of our other book articles such as, CHERUB: The Recruit. Thank you and happy editing! editWelcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Template:CHERUB has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. The article PT Bivott has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No more content than already exists in the existing articles.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 20:55, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
The article Abridged Series (internet phenomenon) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:33, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
CHERUB and Henderson's Boys task force Announcements
editHi RTY1998,
As a member of the CHERUB and Henderson's Boys task force, we would like you to be aware of a few things. Firstly, please add the updates template to you userpage for all the latest news. The code is: {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Children's literature/CHERUB and Henderson's Boys task force/Outreach/Updates}}. You are also asked to add one of the userboxes to your userpage, these can be found at WP:CHERUB#Join. In a bid to improve the quality of CHERUB and Henderson's Boys articles, we are beginning an "adoption" programme. To start, just go to one of the Stub-Class articles and start working on it. Thank you and happy editing, Rock drum (talk·contribs·guestbook) 13:34, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
