RE message
editThanks for your note - the comments about signing talk pages and using edit summaries in the Welcome message I left aren't aimed at you in particular, they're just included in the template I used ({{w-graphical}}). Now I've re-read it more critically, although it's good advice that first paragraph does come over as a bit abrupt... maybe I'll switch to something different in the future! Anyway, please don't think I was in any way intending to criticise or 'lay down the law', I just wanted to make you feel welcome :P
Looking forward to working with your project, and if you have any questions at all don't hesitate to get in touch. All the best, EyeSereneTALK 10:28, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Encouragement
editThe Working Woman's Barnstar | ||
I know you're ploughing a bit of a lonely furrow there at Latin American Boom. This is a bit of encouragement: you're doing a good job! jbmurray (talk|contribs) 20:31, 4 April 2008 (UTC) |
- Thanks for the vote of confidence :)I'm trying to prevent the Boom-Bust scenario. I'm just not sure how much I can get
- done over the weekend as I have to finish writing a paper for another class by Tuesday. --Rabbitfast (talk) 08:14, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Well, I came here to leave you a barnstar, and found you'd already got one! Well deserved, too. I am working on the copyedit of Latin American Boom but I have to go out this evening and it may not be done till tomorrow; I'll see what I can get done. I think I'll have a few prose issues, but the main thing I wanted to say is that the article is in very good shape. I think all the right material is there, and there are a lot of citations; it's close to GA and I will see what I can do to push it over the boundary for you. Congratulations on some excellent work -- I look forward to seeing this get even better. I think after the GA you're definitely in striking distance of an FA nomination; we still have six days so if we can get this through GA this weekend I think you can do it. More later -- Mike Christie (talk) 23:12, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you! The help and encouragement are greatly appreciated :)--Rabbitfast (talk) 08:11, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Latin American Boom update
editI just added some copyedit notes; I think most of those should be pretty quick to fix. For the historical background point, if you can explain to me what the intention is in that section I think I can help you fix it. That only leaves the three "citation needed" tags. This is now very close to GA. Let me know if I can help with any of this; I will be away from the net between about 2 and 9 CDT today but should respond outside those times. And thanks for an interesting read -- I am learning a lot about Latin American literature and I am enjoying these articles tremendously. Mike Christie (talk) 14:47, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Congratulations!
