Corporate name in username

edit

While it is perfectly okay to have your company's name in your username, it does make people wonder if your edits are "your own" or if they are made on behalf of your employer or its clients.

Please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:Paid editing disclosure. If either apply to you, edit accordingly. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:11, 12 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of CorVette

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on CorVette, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.   Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.
  Hello, Rabiulprimetechbd. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

 • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
 • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the request edit template);
 • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
 • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
 • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.Deb (talk) 12:44, 13 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

As a matter of convention, links to other Wikipedia pages are done in the style of pagename or what is actually seen, not pagename or what is actually seen.

Main page renders as Main page.

The main page of the English Wikipedia renders as The main page of the English Wikipedia.

Both take you to the same place.

See Help:Introduction to editing with Wiki Markup/3 for a tutorial. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 17:28, 18 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with being blocked from editing, or other sanctions. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. edit

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Davidwr was: This submission is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Already speedy-deleted as unambiguous advertising on multiple occasions, see logs of major contributor and the deletion logs of deleted pages created by him.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears, judging by your repeated attempts to introduce content regarding an aircraft that does not exist that you made up one day, that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: .  The Bushranger One ping only 22:39, 2 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
