Alyssanichols (talk) 19:44, 28 February 2016 (UTC)This article is lacking a lot of information and only provides the definition and history of endogenous depression. A question I have regarding the article is can you go back and see how it used to be before people made changes to it? And also I was wondering if only having a smaller amount of information changes how credible this article is or its impact on the topic? Two references that would be good to use are:Reply

Group 11: We can use my Talk Page to discuss our topic ideas. I like Ellen's suggestion of using an Abnormal Psychology topic. What sorts of areas are the rest of you interested in? RachelPWendt (talk) 02:30, 1 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

        • I would be up for that. We could look into some newer disorders, and see if we can find any that are not as well defined on wiki. T.karels (talk) 15:49, 1 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
        • I like your idea Tim--I am really interested in disorders, so I think that would be interesting! Any thoughts from you guys on what disorders we would want to focus on?Ellenhonsa (talk) 18:00, 1 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
        • I think that sounds like a great idea, does anyone have something specific that they would want to do? I'm up for anything so if anyone has something in mind we should jus do that! Alyssanichols (talk) 10:50, 4 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
        • I am looking at the subgroups that were given to us and am in the anxiety/phobia section. This is kind of random but what about Necrophobia (fear of dead things)? It doesn't seem to have much information on it yet so I thought it might be interesting. Thoughts? Do you guys think there is a lot of information out there on this topic? Ellenhonsa (talk) 19:06, 4 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
        • Minor Depressive Disorder is also a topic that doesn't have much information on it yet also if you guys would prefer doing something maybe more common Ellenhonsa (talk) 19:08, 4 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
        • I like your idea about phobias, Ellen. Any of the phobias listed under stubs (there's like 10 of them) would be interesting. If you're wanting a second option to be related to depression, what about Endogenous depression? I hadn't heard about this before and came across it on the stub page. It is in need of revamping as well. RachelPWendt (talk) 23:57, 4 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
        • Since we need 2 ideas, what if we do 1 phobia and 1 depressive or abnormal behavior? If we do a phobia, I would suggest either Mysophobia, Agyrophobia, Algophobia, or the one Ellen mentioned, Necrophobia. Any of these sound interesting to you guys? RachelPWendt (talk) 00:03, 5 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
        • I think necrophobia would be a good topic and then we could do endogenous depression too, what do you guys think? Should we just pick those two?Alyssanichols (talk) 01:15, 5 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dr. Council's comments on your article choices

edit

At first I thought necrophobia would not have much potential for development, but I did a quick search on Google Scholar and found some interesting material. For example, necrophobia is related to vampires. I think this could be an interesting topic to research. There are actually several subtopics that could be addressed.

Endogenous depression also has promise. Google Scholar turns up a lot of material, including some on the history of this concept. This might actually be easier than necrophobia, but not as fun. J.R. Council (talk) 20:25, 10 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
