You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, as you did at Desert Rain band. Your edits only promote the band, and the links you add aren't reliable sources. In addition, you keep restoring a list of unacceptable external links, also serving as promotion. Given your previous (deleted) articles, you are here only to promote this band and the restaurant it plays in, co-owned by the bass player (who may well be you), as is clear from this "reference" as well. Alright; this sounds good, Kaisal. Thanks for the info and help. I understand that I need better references. I'm sure I can provide some, but it will take me some time and research. We have indeed been featured in articles over the years, but will need to track that stuff down with whatever band mates might have in in old boxes or whatever. I will supply this sort f information as quickly as it is fund. We did maintain a commercial website but let it go in the age of social media. I believe archive.org wayback machine captured a version of the commercial site so perhaps that would be anther usable source? At any doubt I will keep plugging along and hope fr the best. @Kaisal Hi Kaisal. Please bare with me, but I guess I remain a little confused about how I have been proceeding here. Since I was told in an earlier exchange that I should continue editing the Desert Rain band entry here on wiki, so I'm guessing that I was flagged for working on the discography section of the article. I'm quite sure that any edits I made to the main article were, as suggested, to "tone it down" ( I removed adjectives, etc.). While help from Mudwater, I have been working to get our citations in order and believe I will soon have everything I need in that department. As I have been adding the group's albums to the discography I have been linking them back to the main article they came from. Is that what generated a COI? Is that something I should not be doing and do I need to create a suggestion template if I want to continue with the discography section? The article about the band that created this album is currently at AfD. Whether or not that survives, I've done a fairly thorough web search, and can find no coverage of this. If that gets deleted, then this can be deleted under CSDA9.

Userfied page

Hello! As per the consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Desert Rain band, I have moved the article about the band to your private user space. You can find it at User:Rainbase/Desert Rain band. There you can add references and do other improvements. Now that it is out of the main encyclopedia, you can take your time without worrying about it getting deleted. Before you try to put the article back into the encyclopedia, you might ask User:Mudwater, the friendly commenter at the AfD discussion, to take a look at it and see if they think it now meets Wikipedia's requirements at WP:NMUSIC.

Some cautions: be sure to observe the warnings you have gotten above about WP:Conflict of interest and promotional language. For example, the article currently contains a lot of unsourced, chatty stuff about the "folklore" of the band; the article would be better off without most of that material unless it can be referenced to an independent source. Hi Rainbase. The main thing now will be for you to track down the printed references. Now that the page has been "userfied", there's no time pressure. I can help you with the now-proposed-article, as MelanieN suggested, and in particular if you have a technical question about how to do something, I might know the answer. Right now I do have one suggestion in fact. I suggest that you create your user page, with a link to the draft of the article. To do that, click on the red text saying "Rainbase" that you'll see near the upper right of the page. Then in the editing area, paste in this text, without the quotation marks: "/Desert Rain band". Save that. If you do it right, you will have created your user page, and that will have a link to the draft article. So from then on, to get to the draft, just click on "Rainbase" in the upper right (which will no longer be red) to get to your user page, and click on the link to get to the draft. — Mudwater ^(Talk) 19:44, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
