- FYI -- both pages cited above violate Wikipedia guidelines, more specifically WP:NFT. --Mhking 05:38, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Deletion
editAs I mentioned above, the pages - at least in their present form - violate WP guidelines, and most likely will be deleted. Just because you make some sort of film at school does not automatically qualify it for inclusion in Wikipedia. There must be independent, verifiable source material that supports the information. Simply because you make a film and stick a trailer on YouTube does not count. --Mhking 05:45, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
- Based on the content of the articles, they would not qualify under any circumstances. --Mhking 05:48, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
I am fairly certain that I can reform the information and/or find proof to back it up. I would really appreciate if you could assist me with that.
- As I mentioned, the article would need independent, verifiable source material. You can find a listing of the type of acceptable verification at WP:V; but keep in mind, self-published works (i.e., your film and trailer) would not qualify under any circumstances. --Mhking 05:53, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure I understand why the site is damageable to Wikipedia. I understand that you need sources, but this is not an act of Vandalism. My school has several Wikipedia Sites for Clubs and the like. How is this any different?
- As I noted above, it violates the existing guidelines (specifically WP:NFT). Any and all pages that violate those guidelines are subject to deletion.. --Mhking 06:00, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
