Happy editing! Happy days, ~ LindsayHello 22:16, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- Just one question, can you tell me why you think it necessary to modify Steve Irwin by taking out the name he is best know as ~ so much so that it's the name the article is at? I think i'm going to undo what you did, but if you can convince me it's better your way i'll be happy not to. Happy days, ~ LindsayHello 22:19, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- It is probably for the best to undo it. I modified his infobox because his nickname is technically not his "other name". And I removed "known as Steve Irwin" because I thought it was quite clear that he was referred to as such, considering that the page is called Steve Irwin.
- But thank you for letting me know, and for the warm welcome. :) Ramanujaner (talk) 22:32, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- I understand; i put back the name, but left the template modification you made ~ i agree that a nickname is not an "other name" (though nickname itself comes from words meaning extra name!). Hope you approve of what i did. Take care! Happy days, ~ LindsayHello 08:45, 8 April 2023 (UTC)
Collatz page needs update, loop proven impossible
editSomeone should update the Collatz Conjecture page, a proof has been proven impossible. An inequality makes a loop impossible, the final descent from 3x+1/2^n to 3X (where X Is the initial X) can only be a 12n-5. The net value of all ascents minus all descents between the 1st 3X+1 and final 3x must be the same value, a 12n-5, for a loop but it can't be, it can only be a 12n-1,12n+1,12n+3,12n-3 or 12n+5, it can't be a 12n-5. This 9 minute video explains it step by step using simple logical deduction. youtu dot be/O_oRnFuRfRM Sean g 2001:BB6:1A0E:9E58:2D84:F0F:4025:87CE (talk) 08:55, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
- This proof has not been peer-reviewed, and therefore, we cannot add it to Wikipedia (due to the NOR policy). By the way, this proof is also incorrect and seems like the work of a toddler compared to, for example, Tao's. Ramanujaner (talk) 15:24, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
- Speaking of WP:OR, the flag you added to Kalmar Union is exactly that. TylerBurden (talk) 07:11, 9 August 2023 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Neveselbert. I noticed that you recently removed content from Henry Kissinger without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. - @Liz: No effort has been made to hide the fact that they are using multiple accounts. In fact the first edit to their userpage was to disclose the alt account! Someone who's wrong on the internet (talk) 18:23, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
