Ways to improve Mar Shimun Memorial Foundation

edit

Hello, Ramsin93,

Thank you for creating Mar Shimun Memorial Foundation.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

The page does not pass notability guidelines. See WP:NORG as well as WP:GNG. Wikipedia requires in-depth coverage (WP:SIGCOV in multiple independent reliable sources. Sourcing to a topic's own website does not assist with notability. Third-party sourcing is essential.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Eagleash}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

@Eagleash: Thanks for the notice, unfortunately I didn't think ahead and I don't think I'll be able to find a good enough source to keep this on Wikipedia, please feel free to delete this page as it's already an external link elsewhere. Maybe in the future when more third-party coverage is available I can resurrect this article. Ramsin93 (talk) 14:40, 6 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I am not sure that this should be left in the mainspace. If you are not at all certain that you can gather much better sourcing (at least 3 good references) in a reasonable period of time, you could, if you wish, request deletion yourdelf by adding {{Db-g7}} to the top of the page. This will produce a pink 'speedy deletion' notice and it could be deleted in less that a few hours. Another option would be to move it to draftspace, where it can be worked on over time and submitted when ready. If it is not edited for 6 months it becomes liable to deletion as an abandoned draft. It could be taken to AfD and proposed for deletion with a proviso that WP:REFUND would apply at a later date. I will do that if you wish...
On another point, the latest reference added produced a malware warning so I will delete I'm afraid!
Reply here if you wish to discuss further or need help implemeting your decision. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 20:07, 6 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Hello, I have moved the page to draftspace; so it can be improved in time. If you wish, you can still request deletion as described above and of course if not edited for 6 months it will likely be deleted as an abandoned draft. Eagleash (talk) 22:10, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Eagleash: I added a couple of references to the organization, one from another website which mentions a book which the article previously contained but had to remove at the request of the Mar Shimun Memorial Foundation, which now sells the above mentioned book. The other is from a book published in 2007 mentioning the proceeds of the sales of the book will go to the Mar Shimun foundation. Ramsin93 (talk) 23:30, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

I added a third reference from a book which names "Mar Shimun Memorial Foundation" as the publisher of 2 books listed in the sources. Ramsin93 (talk) 23:56, 19 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
