You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Galatasaray. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Clubjuggle T/C 16:49, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Editorial disagreements should not be called vandalism, and you should not call someone a vandal just because they make an edit you disagree with. If you do so, you may run afoul of the Wikipedia:no personal attacks policy; you'd be better off adhering to Wikipedia:avoid personal remarks instead!

Hi! I've seen that you have made several nonconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Just consider this: Many people spend lots of their time here, creating and improving articles for the public's use. Any time that you have the urge to vandalize or delete content, think of all the people that spend their time trying to improve and better the information on Wikipedia. If you feel that you must do something on Wikipedia, instead of vandalizing this information, think of expanding and making it better. Think of this the next time that you hit the Edit this Page button. See also Wikipedia:Avoid the word "vandal".

Speedy deletion of Özgür Çek

edit

A tag has been placed on Özgür Çek requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Özgür çek.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Fastily (talk) 05:41, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Eskisehir Demirspor 1-724849.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Eskisehir Demirspor 1-724849.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Istanbul Football League

edit

Your source is unreliable and wrong. Please read Wikipedia Turkish version. You can check "Istanbul Pazar Ligi" to get reliable information for this. Do not change Galatasaray section until you read all I mentioned.Sultaniman (talk) 08:56, 27 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

This was not the final match. This match between the teams was Istanbul Friday League Opening Match. Just check the exact time. You have to look reliable sources. Your source is wrong and unreliable.Sultaniman (talk) 18:09, 28 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

1914-1915

edit

Please read this.

Your source, Alper Duruk' s website gives the wrong information. Because this information belongs to Rüstü Daglaroglu' s Fenerbahce book.

Let me prove why you are wrong.

Firstly go to the page http://www.turkfutbolu.net and look "İSTANBUL LİGİ 1914-1915 SEZONU"

You can see the so called final match date between GS-FB. 11.02.1916 Fenerbahçe - Galatasaray: 3-1 (Goller: Sait Selahattin Cihanoğlu (2), Galip Kulaksızoğlu (kafa))

Now please go to "Cuma Ligi Tüm Sezonlar" page and select 1915-1916 season. Can you see the match between GS and FB? What is the score? 3-1 and when was it played? 11.02.1916 Can you see who scored that day? (Goller: Sait Selahattin Cihanoğlu (2), Galip Kulaksızoğlu (kafa))

So this was not the final match of 1914-1915 league. This was the opening match of Istanbul Friday League. I hope you understand well what happened in the past.Sultaniman (talk) 18:15, 29 May 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sultaniman (talkcontribs) 18:13, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

1914-15

edit

No, there is more than a date issue. I knew what happened. I knew all the writings between Ali Sami Yen and Fenerbahce' s President. Galatasaray Magazine released the original papers on February. http://www.emecmua.com/YayinIndexes.aspx?DID=93&SayID=4233 (on gümüş yürek) When Ali Sami Yen wanted to get shield back, Fenerbahce never responded. Because they knew what happened. Fenerbahce claimed that the first day match of the Istanbul Friday League(opening match) was also the final match of the 1914-15 season. It was absurd and wrong. Fenerbahce wanted to join the Istanbul Football Union League in 1914-15. Fenerbahce was the founders of Istanbul Football Union League. But they did not join the league. When the league was started, Fenerbahce wanted to join the league again. Because they transferred very good players from Altinordu. However, the directors of the Istanbul Football Union rejected the Fenerbahce' s join because the league was already started some time ago. So Fenerbahce built a new league called Istanbul Championship League with the powerless new Turkish teams. After the leagues were finished Fenerbahce won all games in that league. Fenerbahce firstly claimed that Istanbul Championship League was the following league of Istanbul Sunday League, because they did not want to give the precious shield back. However, this wasn' t accepted. After that Fenerbahce claimed that the Istanbul Championship League(like Bank Asya League) was the equal of Istanbul Football Union League. This wasn' t accepted as well. After the leagues were united again, Fenerbahce claimed Istanbul Friday Leagues opening match was the final match between Istanbul Football Union League Champion Galatasaray and Istanbul Championship League Champion Fenerbahce. Galatasaray never accepted the Fenerbahce' s theory and never will. This theory was not the Fenerbahce' s theory at first. Sultaniman (talk) 03:32, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Translation from English to Turkish

Hi there. I like to ask for your support in translation. If you like please have a look at a short article about an international music award which should be available in several important languages like Turkish as there already have been Turkish participants. It's already published in English, French, and German. You wouldn't have to bother with the tablet and the references as I would prepare both for Turkish. I just need the appropriate Turkish terms (nationalities etc.) for it. Just let me know. Many thanks in advance. Best regards ArcCan (talk) 18:30, 2 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Template move

I have reverted your move [2] from Template:Fenerbahçe SK 100th Year Champion Squad to Template:Fenerbahçe SK Centenary Year Champion Squad. Moving templates can be tricky and should only be done with good reason. Your move and subsequent addition of Category:Speedy deletion to the old name caused all articles using the template to be added to Category:Speedy deletion instead of displaying the template. The page name of the template is not displayed in articles so the old name seemed OK. PrimeHunter (talk) 15:10, 2 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Rangond 15:27 4 Oct 2025 : == Can you help verify translations of articles from Turkish ==

Hello Rangond,

Would you be able to help evaluate the accuracy of translations of Wikipedia articles from Turkish to English Wikipedia?

File:Language icon.svg

This would involve evaluating a translated article on the English Wikipedia by comparing it to the original Turkish article, and marking it "Pass" or "Fail" based on whether the translation faithfully represents the original. Here's the reason for this request:

There are a number of articles on English Wikipedia that were created as machine translations from different languages including Turkish , using the Content Translation tool, sometimes by users with no knowledge of the source language. The config problem that allowed this to happen has since been fixed, but this has left us with a backlog of articles whose accuracy of translation is suspect or unknown, including some articles translated from Turkish. In many cases, other editors have come forward later to copyedit and fix any English grammar or style issues, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the translation is accurate, as factual errors from the original translation may remain. To put it another way: Good English is not the same as good translation.

If you can help out, that would be great. Here's a sample of the articles that need checking:

  1. Kadızade_Mehmed
  2. Rüştü_Erdelhun
  3. Uğur_Işılak
  4. European_Biotechnology_Association
  5. Santa_Maria_Catholic_Church

All you have to do, is compare the English article to the Turkish article, and assess them "Pass" or "Fail" (the {{Pass}} and {{Fail}} templates may be useful here). (Naturally, if you feel like fixing an inaccurate translation and then assessing it, that's even better, but it isn't required.) Also please note that we are assessing accuracy not completeness, so if the English article is much shorter that is okay, as long as whatever has been translated so far is factually accurate.

If you can help, please {{ping}} me here to let me know. You can add your pass/fails above, right next to each link, or you may indicate your results below. Thanks! Elinruby (talk) 00:15, 9 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
