Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Evernote. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Evernote

Hello Rarscal, please provide an independent secondary source (for example a news or journal article, or a review in an independent expert website) to show why this inofficial client is relevant - 1 passing sentence by the company is not sufficient. Wikipedia is not a directory or listing of every single related application (unless the application has been covered by independent sources). Also, as already mentioned in the edit summary, please do not add external links (see WP:EL for more information). If you disagree, you should start a discussion at the article's talkpage Talk:Evernote instead of re-adding the disputed content.

In case you are connected to Evernote or NixNote in any way, please see Wikipedia's "conflict of interest" guideline at WP:COI. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask or post for advice at WP:Teahouse, a forum for new editors. Thank you. GermanJoe (talk) 01:00, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi GermanJoe, thankyou for your very generous explanation of the Wikipedia policy for adding citations and links to topics and breaking it down to make it easy to understand. Also, thanks for editing the "Evernote" page to reflect Wiki best practice, it gives me a working example to work from. From this, I see that a entry for NixNote would be better placed in a topic "Comparison of Notetaking Software" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_notetaking_software. Thanks again, I really appreciate it! Rarscal (talk) 01:37, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome, glad I could help. The comparison page - like most similar lists - is limited to "notable" topics with an existing article though. I'll post a few basic links below, that may be helpful if you are interested in contributing more content. Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 02:06, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
