Pretty soon I will be watching ep. 9 to the final. They have no editing options from the List of Episodes entry, only the first eight or so do have.
How can I add my plot synopses then? RavenGlamDVDCollector (talk) 07:14, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
- So just confirming what you are asking, you can't find the link to open the episode list for editing? -- Patchy1

I have been watching with interest what you have been doing. I know my punctuation is not great; I try to avoid overuse of the comma. The reason I never went further than episode eight is because when Anthony DeLongis left the show the 'real time' information dried up which is really needed in episode pages. Wikipedia does not like episode articles with just plot. I went to Almeria to take photos for wikicommons that I could use on Wikipedia. I have come unstuck with other editors about Chico's horse's harness that was identical to that used in the Alain Delon Zorro film and the 1990 Zorro tv series.
The show was cancelled during it's broadcast hiatus in December 2000 but all 22 episodes had been filmed. The official website (now only available through the wayback machine site) is now defunct closing down early in 2001. I wrote all the pages on the TVIV site http://tviv.org/Queen_of_Swords which does not require the references Wikipedia does. I also added more material to the IMdb site. There were very few poor episodes. all the episodes featuring The Queen and Dr Helm were really good except for "The Pretender". The highlight episode is "The Serpent" with a sword waving (pre Kill Bill) David Carradine. Any reply leave here to keep it in one place.REVUpminster (talk) 08:26, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry to hear of your accident. In the UK, despite it being a Canadian/Spanish/UK co-production with some French money thrown in, it was not shown until seven years after cancellation on two minor satellite channels in a pan and scan version (the UK has some censorship of profanities in episodes 4, and 22 as it was shown Saturday and Sunday mornings and early evening constantly for about two years).
I was very taken with it realizing it is a Zorro rip-off but done how Zorro in all it's forms should have been done. I only heard about the French dvd via the Simon MacKorkindale fan club and paid a lot of money for it too. It is very cheap now via Amazon.com, Amazon.Uk, Amazon.Canada as an import. There are no English subtiles, only French on the English sound track which you can hide. The French dvd is in production order but it should be watched in episode order as on Wikipedia or some continuity goes astray. I have the Japanese dvd's and they are expensive and are pan and scan but are uncut. I also have the American bootleg but it does not work properly. I have also via a fan in Slovakia been able to collect most of the American 30 second trailers. All the episodes are on youtube in various languages, pan and scan, and widescreen. It is the best source now.REVUpminster (talk) 14:18, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
unfairly blocked

I was unfairly blocked. I never would do anything like vandalize a site. One evening, pedantic old me was just going to correct a mistake or two again I've encountered, when I had to learn something like "responsible for vandilizing Avicii's site". A week later, I was still blocked. And I wasn't even ever at that site. I was truly innocent! It was mentioned that it might not have been me personally, but somebody else in the same area of my address (as you will hear, I am not well-versed in your technical terms) and I had to log in to get to my talk page and do that shout-out Help thing, but people, I couldn't log in, I was blocked out. The guy sending the message (I was so upset, I forgot, but he was British, I think the initial was HP) could be e-mailed, but only if I was logged in. People, I felt so lost and betrayed and wronged.
You should guard against this. During the past three weeks I would have corrected several grammatical mistakes which I encountered.
Granted, I am just a little fish. I am a newbie at Wikipedia. I am quite the contributor at IMDb, I have earned badges there. But you should really not let something like this happen to an innocent guy.
Okay, I just tried again a little while ago, added content to the Pacific's Cinerama Theatre, while I didn't expect I was going to be allowed to do so. So while the info is correct, it should be with links and all, and though I do work for IMDb supplying links, I do not know the magical recipe here. At IMDb you simply use the URL, what do you do at Wikipedia?
Care to enlighten me?
(Apologies from a newbie)

This account is not blocked and never was blocked; you can check the blog log yourself. While you may have been affected by an autoblock, that should not affect your ability to log in or to edit this talk page. Since whatever it is now is over, there's nothing we can do about it any more. Huon (talk) 15:53, 26 December 2015 (UTC)

how do I add links on Wikipedia? At IMDb you simply use the URL, but here? RavenGlamDVDCollector (talk) 12:40, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hello RavenGlamDVDCollector, to add external links, you could use [<url> <optional text>] (eg., [www.example.com Official website] which results in Official website). And to link to pages within English Wikipedia, the format <optional title to replace the original one> is used (eg., Moon results in Moon, while Star results in Star. More about linking, visit Help:Link and Wikipedia:External links. Regards—UY Scuti Talk 12:55, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
Thank you Huan. I went into a tailspin because of the autoblock, and overreacted, feeling alienated from one of my favorite websites, matched only by IMDb. I realize some of my mistakes now, and will in future know better what to do. Just relieved it is over. Thanks again. RavenGlamDVDCollector (talk) 07:21, 27 December 2015 (UTC)

I wish to create a new page for circa 1992 movie BLOOD GAMES. Typing it in on my user site, I expected a red link, but I got a blue link, with no disambiguation, to a book by the same name. I thrive on red links, I know what to do, but now, with limited experience, do not know how to create the red link needed to create the intended page. Please advise, but please, in simplest terms! Greetings from a newbie (just did my first new page, stoked!) RavenGlamDVDCollector (talk) 18:01, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hello. Try Blood Games (movie). We can sort out disambiguation issues later. Hope that helps!Happy Squirrel (talk) 18:47, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

How do I create a red link? The movie I want to open a page for, has a name corresponding to a bon-related book, so there is a blue link, but it doesn't lead to a disambiguation, only to the book. I will have to create a red link. How? RavenGlamDVDCollector (talk) 18:05, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

Wish to create new page for old movie Total Exposure which starred Michael Nourri and Season Hubley, but got a blue link, no red link, which directed to Exposé, which is not the movie in question. How do I create red link for TOTAL EXPOSURE that won't get interfered with by EXPOSÉ? RavenGlamDVDCollector (talk) 18:29, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
- See above answer. In this case Total Exposure (movie). Happy editing! Happy Squirrel (talk) 18:47, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
Thank you Howicus, way into the small hours here and I'm still kicking myself. Actually only my UserPage that was "all about myself" - I just listed my obsessions re movies I collect, and the ones I cannot find on DVD, mostly because they're forgotten, and even now, I have to keep remembering movies aren't what it is about, like on IMDb. There I am known as an obsessed collector and many other like-minded persons are encountered. Bottom line just is my heart lies in my e-mail address, username RavenGlamDVDCollector which just sums me up, BUT I WAS GENUINELY TRYING TO CREATE PROPER ENTRIES for those 'forgotten' or at least neglected titles, and I worked from my 'spammy' UserPage to do so. Thank you for your kind words, though. Just one thing, those entries for the three movies, I knew very well they looked shabby, I was searching for help to create the proper structures, I was aiming for something comparable to a regular Wikipedia entry. I was even thinking about 'however could I upload a picture of the poster'? That's the one thing I'd not have tried, because the pictures I have are from IMDb and I wouldn't have risked copyright infringement, but I longed to create something not-so-shabby. I only acquired the Wikipedia link-creating ability this morning, and went a little bit overboard, creating my first page by afternoon. But okay, live and learn. Anyway, my UserPage was just my little nest to operate from. Signing off now, Ivan RavenGlamDVDCollector (talk) 23:44, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

- I would just like to say that, while I appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to write articles at Wikipedia, you might not be choosing the best subjects to write about. I highly recommend reading through the notability guidelines before starting another article, just to ensure that you're using your time productively! The other suggestion I have would be to create your new pages via the Article Wizard. The Wizard will allow you to create a Draft, which will be reviewed by experienced editors who can give feedback (if necessary) on how to improve the page to meet Wikipedia's standards. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 20:59, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

Okay, people, I now realize my userpage consisted of spam. I am not contesting your decision. I did not know it infringed Wikipedia policy. But I will graciously abide by your decision.
Please just do not block me from future Wikipedia edits. I began this with a major re-editing of QUEEN OF SWORDS where the grammar really called for my intervention. Admittedly my other edits on the site was minor, but I scored a nice one today linking the documentary STRIPPER (1986) from the disambiguation of Stripper where it wasn't represented. And okay, some others, but mostly grammatical, I will admit.
The ball is in your court, though. Sorry if I offended anybody. I now understand that future spam content to be avoided.
The three pages I created today were genuine attempts at filling in holes on Wikipedia, neglected movies not 'represebted' on your site. I am still busy 'uploading data' (as I call it) but have now stopped. They are little embryos now, they would at least have been more complete, I wished to add CAST and PLOT. I understood the UserPage to be as 'Tell the world about yourself' (okay, I was wrong there, then)
But I will need a UserPage for future editing, so only blank it, but don't delete me away entirely
Nobody around in my world could give me Wikipedia editing advice. They don't even speak English. I was out on my own. Me and my love for movie actresses.
So, I am not asking you to reconsider deleting what you feel should be deleted. Do as Wikipedia demands. But kindly leave a way open for me, if only to edit grammatical errors (which abound!) which I do try to root out!
Yours faithfully, Ivanhoe van Rooyen

- Hi, RavenGlamDVDCollector. Sorry your initial experience on Wikipedia has been rough. When I look at your edits, I just see some common, new-editor mistakes. Certainly nothing that would warrant blocking. Feel free to stick around and work on things; I'd suggest you do some reading up on policies (like WP:GNG and WP:V) before you try and write another article though. editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages.
