Hi Femto, You recently reverted all of my Wikipedia pages. The comment I noticed was (spam) regarding this. I am not a spammer but a new user and was really trying to contribute to wikipedia on a number of levels. The guidelines said to contact the person regarding all of this so I am. I am not a spammer but fairly new to Wikipedia and thought that I did have a lot of valid things to contribute to the larger collective intelligence and to share with the community. I do think that I did forget to sign in today and I have read the guidelines and for all of the entries I was making today I was trying to share my knowledge under IP Address 68.221.166.26 My handle name is rayuwish and not knowing that I had to sign in I forgot. Is this why you erased everything I did? All of my entries and additions to Wikipedia from resource entries on the Soviet Space Program and Jigsaw Puzzles were taken off by Femto. Was this simply because this was my IP address. I thought I had several important and very important links and entries to contribute to Wikipedia in a lot of these areas and was not even trying to add spam or advertising but my own contributions to a global collective pool of knoweldge. I thought all of these were solid and in conformance with Wikipedia and could add to Wikipedia in a lot of wonderful ways.

Here's the list of the subject links and entries you blanketly reverted. While I am new to Wikipedia I do believe I have hopefully a few things to contribute and share for the collective intelligence of the larger collective and I thought that a lot of these entries would delight, add knowledge and also augment understanding and I was sad when all of these were blanketly deleted. I know that my link to pictures of CBGB's in 1998 are the only ones around of this club that has gone and similarly my work on Soviet Industrial Design and work on the Balseros and Nighthawks all contributed significantly Could you take another look at what you've done as I believe that this might have been in error. thanks Ray [contribution list removed]

The talk page of 68.221.166.26 (talk · contribs) contains all the information you need. Especially please read Wikipedia:External links#Advertising and conflicts of interest which discourages linking to your own site. Yes, it's considered spamming, so don't. It's hard to see how most of those links could primarily serve any other purpose than self-publicity. If you feel some link to a page of yours would be encyclopedically useful to an article, it will be easy enough to establish consensus with neutral editors who may decide whether to add it.

Nevertheless, in case you're here to add anything beside links to yourself, I'm going to assume good faith and unblock this account since it isn't only some spammer's throwaway login and appears to have a responsive person behind it. Remember that links don't improve articles, content does. Femto 12:17, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
