Fuller

Hi RA - I think you're not accomplishing anything significant by adding the Ph.D. to Fuller's name - note that the Wiki article does not include the degree as part of its title. If your goal is to establish some credentials for notability regarding Fuller, then it would clearly be more effective to append descriptive nominatives before his name - such as "former Oberlin College president and noted educational reformer." The Ph.D. is superfluous, unhelpful, and not especially notable. But the reason that it can't stay at that point in the article is because virtually no other personage in the encyclopedia is identified by his/her highest degree - and should not be - and because the Wiki article to which it links does not characterize Fuller's notability as having a Ph.D. - a degree which can be purchased by mail these days. regards, Sensei48 (talk) 16:57, 19 September 2012 (UTC)

IMPACT section edit removal

I added the study by Rabow because this paragraph needed more balance of objective, positive reactions to Erhard's work. As it is now written, the paragraph states that "The validity of Erhard's work and his motivations have been met with mixed reviews." Then it goes on to give examples of those reactions. Six out of seven of these reactions are at best skeptical, and mostly highly critical. I agree with you that this paragraph needs "re-phrasing towards actual balance." • Thanks for pointing me to WP:OVERLINK. I will keep it in mind as a guideline, so as not to create Wikilinks where they are not useful. In re-reading the New Age article, it seemed to me that, since the "New Age" was a "hodge podge" of various religions and philosophies a reader might want to have the link to a Wikipedia article on any of those sources that influenced the "New Age." In creating the links, I learned a great deal about arcane or obscure religions or social movements that were new to me and were of interest. I did add quite a number of Wikilinks at one time, but I think they made the article more useful to any scholar interested in delving into the subject.

Moreno clarification

The book, "Impromptu Man, J.L. Moreno and the Origins of Psychodrama, Encounter Culture, and the Social Network," was written by Jonathan D. Moreno, the son of J.L. Moreno. They are not the same person. J.L. is deceased but Jonathan D. Moreno is alive, well and is a current writer and professor. For his book, Jonathan D. interviewed Erhard and wrote a section about the est training, on page 246 Jonathan D. writes, "Over the next couple of decades the vilification of Erhard only intensified. Allegations of all sorts of personal and financial wrongdoing were hurled at him, none of which were born out and some were even publicly retracted by major media organizations." This supports my edit, stating there were "ad hominem attacks" on Erhard, therefore it is an appropriate edit. --RecoveringAddict (talk) 20:16, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
