- I'll chime in: welcome from me also--and I also like to think of Ahmad Jamal as an influence. ;) Drmies (talk) 03:04, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, Drmies. I'd imagine a lot of musicians would like to consider AJ an influence...whether or not it shows in their playing. :) RedActor61 (talk) 03:59, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
- I had the pleasure of seeing Keith J. and his friends one time, in the mid-eighties. The Koelln Concert is, in my opinion, one of the greatest records ever made. Happy editing, Drmies (talk) 04:19, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
- I left you a note in the Miles Davis history, and on Zazaban's talk page. Quiet Nights is one of only a few I don't have, and I won't really be looking for it. Take it easy, Drmies (talk) 04:27, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
I saw Keith play solo once, just before he quit doing solo concerts. (And I just got a ticket to see him play solo again, in a few weeks.) I've never seen him with anyone else. Thanks for the info about the citation templating. I'll take a look and see what I can do. I'm still learning the Wikipedia ropes, so I appreciate the help, especially with things like formatting. - Sure thing. Using templates the way I did for that Quiet Nights note works well in shorter articles; in longer ones it's probably best to work with a bibliography and make footnote references. WP:CITE has a lot of information and links. I would have loved to have seen him solo--enjoy the show! Drmies (talk) 17:40, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Invitation
editDear RedActor61,
I am inviting you to join the Miles Davis WikiProject. I found you, RedActor61, on several revision history statistics of articles related with "Miles Davis", and therefore I am of the opinion, that you should be one of those members of this WikiProject I recently created. I hope you will approve my invitation.
Regards,
