Your Introduction /Time Management
editIt sounds like Mr. Mayo is concerned about the competition over student time?!!! (Sigh) there is more in life than Advanced Placement Calculus If you expend hours upon hours of your life attempting FA; that would indeed be most sad - the key is spreading out the pain and not attempting everything at the last minute. Also FoodPuma to whom I'm sure he referred, embraced Wikipedia with a passion that went well beyond his actual article. Also, they were flying solo where as you have a group of three. No worries - there will be ample time to make FA and study for Calculus!--JimmyButler (talk) 21:30, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- Calculus is just memorization. Anyone can do that :-) Cheers, Wassupwestcoast (talk) 02:51, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, achieving FA will require a large number of manhours. The key is to realize that this excercise is fun, produces a result that is valuable to mankind and in a great way helps developing skills that will be needed in most of the vocations pursued by AP students. --Ettrig (talk) 11:12, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Topic idea
editNorth Carolina official biological specimens Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 02:46, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- I am really excited about choosing one of these topics, specifically because of the locality of the research. It can be something tangible, rather than searching the internet that is filled with an interminable wasteland of dated findings. It feels like we're given a chance to head this research like true members of the scientific community. Thanks!—Preceding unsigned comment added by Reddevil1421 (talk • contribs) 01:49, 4 September 2009
- I think you'll enjoy creating a wikipedia article. It would be neat to see one of the North Carolina topics chosen. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 02:33, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Request for photo
editHello, I can not get a free photo of Scotch bonnet. And I have no this shell. It would be good, if you could taken an apertural view of the shell. It would be probably possible to get some old free drawing, but the photo is always better than drawing. Thanks. --Snek01 (talk) 23:01, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
- That sounds good i will attempt to take an apertural view of the shell. Thanks! Reddevil1421 (talk) 01:47, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Bog Turtle
editAndrew, how did you go about making, taking a photo of, and uploading said photo to wikicommons? I am trying to make a distribution map, I guess I'll have to draw one or something, that's no problem, but how would I get it through wikicommons?--NYMFan69-86 (talk) 18:42, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- I simply choose the recommended settings for the photos, in terms of copyrights there is a general copyright format you can use that applies to self-taken pictures. It should be the first choice. I hope this helps and congratz on the GA Article! Happy HolidaysReddevil1421 (talk) 19:13, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, I thought it was a long, crazy process, but this definately helps, thanks, and hhapy hhanakuiea!!--NYMFan69-86 (talk) 06:52, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
