Hello, Redeeming Light. I saw that you added a "jokes" section to Helen Keller. I decided to revert your addition for two reasons. The first is that your addition was completely unsourced. Please see WP:VERIFY and WP:CITE for information on citing sources. The second reason is that, if you read the talk page for Helen Keller, you'll see that the general consensus is that a jokes section is not appropriate for this article (for various reasons: see the talk page for details). Perhaps you could start another discussion about whether or not there should be such a section? Cheers, Doctormatt 07:00, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- You replied on my talk page, and asked "why did you delete the section I wrote about the jokes". I wrote why in my comment above. Please note that "common" things still need to be cited if another editor requests citing. I recommend that you start a discussion on the Helen Keller page to see if editors are interested in having such a section; otherwise, based on past comments and editing, I think such a section will be removed. Also, please sign your comments on talk pages with four tildes: your comment on my page had no signature. Cheers, Doctormatt 17:38, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Mike-Shanahan.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Mike-Shanahan.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Skier Dude (talk) 04:08, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
