Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Reivax OW. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article LiveJasmin, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Also, please read the WP:PAID page. If you work for LiveJasmin, or have been paid by them, you MUST made the required declarations. That you have a conflict of interest is obvious - see the line you removed today from the article ("maybe citation of our other features)". You need to declare that conflict and follow what's outlined in WP:COI. Ravensfire (talk) 14:08, 28 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello Ravensfire,

Yes there is a COI, I'm related to LiveJasmin. We want to provide Wikipedia with the right information about the company because so far the LiveJasmin's page was providing fake information about LiveJasmin's history. Please revise the article if you think it has been written in a way that promote us or our product which I doubt - I removed any article's part received form our PR department that I found partial and we especially paid deep attention in order not to write in a partial way - delete whatever part you want but keep the information correct (For instance previous page stated that liveJasmin was found in Austin Texas which is not true). I quite know the Wikipedias' rules and we wrote the article accordingly in order to comply with but if you could review my changes that would be great just to make sure that despite the COI what I provided is neutral.
