Serial killer task force
editI am trying to set up a serial killer task force on the criminal biography page. Do you know how to integrate it into the main page? Jmm6f488 08:12, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
The page is basically set up now come check it out Serial Killer Task Force.
I would appreciate any feed back you can give. You are welcome to join also

an invitation (dismissal of U.S. Attorneys, et al.)
editI'm not able to keep up with events as I was three months ago...I'd like to invite your interest on the Dismissal of U.S. attorneys controversy timeline and affiliated articles. Pretty quite there lately, and behind about two months worth of research. -- best regards, Yellowdesk 18:47, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
I am interested, though a lot of the reason I'm drawn to names is the disambig pages for them are often quite a mess. But I'd love to work on making some uniform standards for how such pages are to be dealt with. So I'll sign up -- thanks for alerting me to it. Dina 20:47, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
WikiProject Anthroponymy
editHi Remember,
Just wanted to drop you a note to say how wonderful I think your idea to start WikiProject Anthroponymy was. Wikipedia is currently lacking in consistency in this area, and it's good to know I'm not the only one who cares about it.
Discussion
editTry starting the discussion yourself on the template talk page with an appropriate heading. Add a {{wider attention|your heading}} to the talk page. That should get some discussion. The inclusion of external links is dubious, but someone removing them without discussion is also dubious. IPSOS (talk) 20:55, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- It would help if you told me what page you are trying to put it on. IPSOS (talk) 23:25, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

editGreetings. I noticed you said you got permission to use that photo from Flickr. Is there a chance you could forward that permission to permissions-en AT wikimedia DOT org? Thanks. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 01:48, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- Anyways, while I know it is late in the month, I am taking claim to your bounty. It is at peer review now. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 09:06, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for extending it. I wanted to work on it today, but I lost power for most of the day. I am also looking for photos on Flickr and trying to solve the issues from the last FAC in March. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 23:57, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
Baby Names
editYou wouldn't happen to have any other links to the other parts of Australia that list the popularity of their baby names. I figure that even if it doesn't fit in one template, it would be useful to have a link to all of the official state sites that list popularity of baby names. Remember 12:54, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Not off the top of my head - but I may be able to find some others. Last time I looked, Queensland didn't have much online, but things are improving gradually - spurred on by Genealogy mainly. Most of my research is in NSW where I live, so I have a bookmark for that site and the stats page was reasonably easy to find. If I can find any more I'll pass them on. --Mike 02:13, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Queensland list. Linked from their Births section.
- Australian Capital Territory list was easy to find under Births information.
- Northern Territory list is linked off the home page - too easy.
- South Australian list is similar to NSW and is under Births Deaths & Marriages.
- Tasmania doesn't appear to have statistics published online
- Victorian list is again linked from the home page.
- Western Australia is working today and they have a Baby Names link on the homepage - doesn't look like it would bookmark well as a direct link :-( --Mike 05:00, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for the invitation
editThank you for the invitation to join the Anthroponymy project. I am not sure I have enough time to participate in Wikipedia extensively, though, as shown by the fact that you posted the invitation to me on July 9 and I just found it on August 2. But I will consider it in the future. Sincerely, Cleveland Kent Evans Clevelandkentevans 20:19, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Dean Smith FAC
editThe page went silent, so I don't know what is going on with it. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 22:07, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- There have been a couple of new comments on it today. Remember 00:40, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- I responded to the comments; I have fixed some of them. I did email about the image permissions but I gotten nothing yet. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 01:36, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- Keep up the great work. Hopefully, that will be the last of the objections. Remember 02:15, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- Me too. If you can snag some of the objections tomorrow, that will be nice. I will be out most of the day tomorrow due to computer repairs. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 02:28, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, they seems to closed the FAC as a failure. Not enough people commented, I guess, to make the FAC worthwhile to continue. I am not sure what exactly I could add to the article. Sorry I let you down. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 05:35, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
- You did great. Don't sweat it. I don't understand why they close something as a failure if you say you did all the things the comments required and there were no further objections. Anyways, the reward will still be up and I'll let you try again since you are the only one who seems to show interest. If you want to try something else, I have also put up a bounty for Uranus, which you may be able to get more people interested in. Remember 13:00, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
- If I can be honest about that reward board, not many people take the offers on there. I did one for the Flag of Lithuania and I don't mind doing the others. I am starting college next week so my time on Wikipedia is going to be cut short. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 17:52, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Auburn nav template
editHi there; I saw you created an Auburn University nav template today. Seeing it reminded me I was overdue in finishing the one I had been working on. So, I just made a major update to the template to reflect information and colors I had been working with; I hope you mind the substantial edit. Regards, AUTiger » talk 22:10, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- I used the same HTML color code that is used for the color block in the Auburn University infobox. Auburn's official colors are burnt_orange and navy blue; the orange is darker with more brown in it than a bright orange like Florida's. Btw, the link for the Collins Smith Museum is red since the article doesn't exist yet. And no, the orange in my sig is not precisely right. :-) AUTiger » talk 22:55, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think we should change the colors on the Auburn page based on this [1]. What do you think? Remember 00:17, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think I went through this exercise before with those Pantone PMS specifications. The conversion tool I was first able to find, says that PMS 158 maps to #ff6308. I've set the copy of the template in my sandbox to that color and it's a bit brighter than expected. Another concern is that #ff6308 is not in the "web-safe" color palette. For some users it may not render as expected. AUTiger » talk 04:17, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I am willing to leave it as is, but I still think that the colors don't look right. I think your signature looks much more like Auburn colors than the current infobox. Anyways, thanks a lot for helping make this template better. Remember 12:30, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
- The navy background version you did looks a lot better, but my personal opinion has always been to have blue be the primary and orange the secondary color anyway, even though the school has shifted that to a large degree with marketing like the "All Auburn, All Orange" games. The downside with the navy background is the navbox links in the title disappear -but I can live with that. Thank you for getting the template started. AUTiger » talk 21:08, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
