Fragments sur la grâce‎

edit

Bonjour Monsieur Mathis,

Remi Mathis 19:50, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Obnoxious ads

edit

For the last few weeks, whenever I use Wikipedia I get an ad with Rémi's photograph. I find that obnoxious -- wasn't Wikipedia supposed to be an ad-free site?

I used to feel that I'm a member of a community; I now realise that I'm just free labour for an organisation that shoves ads in my face. This certainly doesn't make me want to contribute any more. Jec (talk) 00:26, 6 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Obnoxious ads, continued

edit

> Wikipedia is supposed to be an ad-free site, but first of all, a site - which means that we need money.

I'm speaking about ads, I've never mentioned money.

> Money is not evil as long as we use it as a mean to achieve our goals

I've never spoken about money; I've complained about the ads. It was promised that Wikipedia would remain an ad-free site; please feel free to make money in any way you wish, just don't show me ads after you've promised you never would. Jec (talk) 19:07, 6 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

enssib

edit

Remi, your bio mentions "enssib" but there's no such page on Wikipedia. Rémi, maybe you could spend a few minutes creating this page for your alma matter ? :) Thanks for the great work - seeing your face is a small price to pay for Wikipedia :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.234.19.47 (talk) 23:39, 6 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the suggestion: I'll do it as soon as I can. Remi Mathis (talk) 12:38, 16 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

It's not a big deal tonight since tomorrow is a day off in France, but, actually, this IP is one of the 3 or 4 used by the French National Library (BnF) (both staff and reading room) => not surprising it can sometimes be used to make vandalism...

IP block exempt

edit

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. Daniel Case (talk) 18:20, 7 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
