Welcome!

Hello, Remigijusjoncas, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Hello, as you noticed, I did the article from the lithuanian version of SBA Grupė. I'm not strong:) working with Wikipedia, but I doing little steps ahead. I would be grateful for advice and help in improving the article. I'm trying to translate the Wikipedia page from Lithuania to English, but when publish the title, it shows "user:Remigijusjoncas/SBA Grupė" on the English version when I wanted to be "SBA Group". Is there a way to fix it, or I need some sort of permissions to translate the page? Lithuanian page: https://lt.wikipedia.org/wiki/SBA_Grup%C4%97. Trying to change it to English, website redirects back to the same page. Remigijusjoncas (talk) 16:05, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Changing the title from "user:Remigijusjoncas/SBA Grupė" to "SBA Group" is known as moving the page from a userspace draft to mainspace. In its present state the page is not suitable to be moved to mainspace, for a number of reasons, the main one being that there are no references to independent reliable sources, which are needed to establish that the subject is notable enough to be a Wikipedia article. It looks as though you may have a personal connection to the company you have written about. If so you should not be the one to move the draft to mainspace, for reasons explained in the guideline on conflict of interest. Instead, if and when the page is suitable to become an article you should submit it as an article for creation for review by an independent editor. Also, if you do have a personal connection to the company then please read the guideline on conflict of interest before you do any more editing, and make sure you comply with it; if you don't, you may be blocked from editing by an administrator. I have moved the page to Draft:SBA Group, as that is considered a be a better way of naming a draft for an article. JBW (talk) 22:05, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

You are a relatively new editor, so the recommended way to proceed is to submit your translation as a draft. The title of the article will be determined by the accepting reviewer, so there is no need to do anything about that now.
You do not need permissions to translate, but the translation tool has qualifications that you may not have met yet.
Before you try to submit the article for review, however, there are a number of things that you should consider fixing as they will likely result in a speedy decline if not fixed. External links in the body text are not allowed (only inside ref tags or in the external links section). Wikipedia should not be used as a reference - you can use wikilinks when that's appropriate. Footnotes should be to sources that actually support the sentence they are attached to - you cannot use them to simply identify something you mention (Kaunas Vienybės Square). Notability for businesses and organizations is determined by following the criteria here: WP:NORG. Your current set of references falls short of these criteria. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 22:12, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
