Yiddish inscription

edit

I got a response from my personal Yiddish expert today. It seems the inscription is partially in Yiddish but with significant German influences in both spelling and vocabulary. The translation offered is basically the same as the one offered by IZAK. Only comparative studies of related inscriptions would give the full picture. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Maps(Hungarian-Romanian war)

edit

Hi,

Sorry for the late replay but I don't check my account that often. I think it's better that you did your own maps, as you can now annotate them in Hungarian. Actually I thought about doing such a ting myself, in English, but had no time for this. The info about the weapons for Horthy's troops comes from the book by Kiritescu. If you want I could provide you with precise page citations. Regards Octavian8 (talk) 08:44, 23 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
The citation with respect to the weapons provided by the Romanians to Horthy's troops is now in the English article. The first map is in the same book at page 555 and the second at page 587. Regards, Octavian8 (talk) 22:00, 26 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi,

I want to congratulate you for the excellent work with the maps. Regards Octavian8 (talk) 08:17, 1 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
