I'll respect your wish on not wanting to be friends. I meant friends as in talking over wikipedia strictly. I would never want to meet any person from over the internet either, too creepy. So anyway... Spawn Man 01:17, 3 November 2005 (UTC). P.S. I'd love to support you stairway to heaven entry in return for your support. Deal...

No thanx. I only support articles, where I really feel the need that they be improved.--Carabinieri 09:09, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry, buddy; I'm going to have to decline. I am quite fond of the song, and like most articles it could certainly use improvement, but there are just too many other topics I think are more important. Naturally I'm biased towards medicine, but there are many science and other academic topics which are more important to me. Good luck with Stairway to Heaven, though, and maybe you can fix the infobox yourself! — Knowledge Seeker দ 10:41, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

Hi Renta, thanks for the invitation. I'm not much into list-making but you might try the usenet newsgroups rec.music.rock-pop-r+b.1960s and rec.music.rock-pop-r+b.1970s (you can get to them via Google Groups if you don't have a newsreader) -- there are a ton of knowledgeable folks there who will be glad to give you lists. Good luck. Jgm 02:45, 18 November 2005 (UTC)
ROCK
editX
Okay, so my musical taste is all over the place, and it would take me a while to find 10 classic rock songs I'd like the best. That's not to say that there aren't a whole lot more that I like; there are - but the one's that jump off the top of my head without really thinking are "Comfortably Numb", "Hey You" & "Young Lust" by Pink Floyd (and if I could vote for all of The Wall, I would), "Innuendo" by Queen, "Captain Jack" by Billy Joel... and that is all that is jumping up right now. Wish I could be more helpful... --Jeffrey O. Gustafson - Shazaam! - <*> 05:32, 18 November 2005 (UTC)

Hello. Round four of Wikipedia Mind Benders will open on Thursday, December 1. This round will be drastically different from round three; part one will consist of a creative project, and part two will be developed from there. The full details will be released when the round opens. Time and speed should not be major factors in this round; thus, there is no exact opening time for the round as speed will not factor into the scoring. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 22:45, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
P.S. Please add Wikipedia:Mind Benders/to do to your watchlist to receive further announcements; the NotificationBot is currently down and all notifications will be placed on that page. Sorry for any inconvenience.

- Thursday, December 1 (this week). Sorry, not a fan of rock. All the dates in WP:MIND except for an old announcement should be correct. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 01:52, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Here are my top 10 classic rock picks, as you requested:

As I'm sure you can see, I'm strongly in favor of the more psychedelic rock. It also may be worthy to note that I consider it impossible to make such a specific or such a small list with any degree of true accuracy. But I'm interested to see the results of this poll.

The borders that define classic rock are a bit ambiguous so I hope the liberties I've taken aren't too much. Neil Young's song is a little newer than the others and Ozzy is possibly a bit closer to metal than rock, but I think the borders are fuzzy enough (and the songs are good enough) that this shouldn't matter...
- 1. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
- 2. Meat Loaf - Bat Out of Hell
- 3. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
- 4. Van Halen - Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
- 5. Neil Young - Rockin' in the Free World
- 6. Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way
- 7. Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
- 8. Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train
- 9. The Rolling Stones - Paint It Black
- 10. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Tuesday's Gone
Nice idea you have here, by the way. All the best with it. --StoneColdCrazy 14:51, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

I find this pretty hard to do, seeing how my favorite songs always seem to be constantly changing, so I'll see if I can get down some of my current and all-time favorites, in no particular order. I'm not entirely sure whether you can consider some of these classic rock, but whatever.
- Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
- Van Halen - Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love
- Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine

You didn't specifically ask for my help, but music means alot to me, so I figured I would do my little part to help.
That being said, crafting this list was really, truly, genuinely difficult. You probably should have asked for my top 50. Oh, and included the 80's. The 90's were pretty awesome too. Now that I think of it, there's some fantastic indie stuff going on now...
Oh, well. Here goes:
- The Beatles - Tie: Something, Hey Jude, While My Guitar Gently Weeps
- Cream - White Room
- The Velvet Underground - Sweet Jane
- Creedence Clearwater Revival - Have You Ever Seen the Rain?
- The Doors - Light My Fire
- The Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want
- Jimi Hendrix - Hey Joe
- The Band - The Weight
- Status Quo - Pictures of Matchstick Men
- Queen - I Want To Break Free
Hope this helps your project. – ClockworkSoul 05:39, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
