- If You have sources to back up Your claims (criteria 1, 6, and 10 of WP:BAND) then You are welcome to rewrite the article, the previous version was "no good". Best luck, feydey (talk) 22:59, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
For reference:
Edith Bunker's Demonized Vomit Insurance are an experimental music outfit from New Hampshire. The first known appearance was in the August 1990 issue of Maximum Rocknroll wherein Lance Hahn described them as "unbelievably awful". Later, in 1996 and 2006, they would appear on albums with the Feederz and the Sun City Girls, respectively. They are labelmates with Happy Flowers on the Lost Frog label in Tokyo. They also had several releases on Nauscopy, and at least one member was in the band Sheep Squeeze. The band has sworn to never play a live show. They have also had several name changes, such as "Injected With Diarrhea" and "The Crucifucktards" (moniker created after Doc Dart disfriended them for being fans of Robert Anton Wilson and Taoism). The band has experimented heavily with recording lathes, found sounds, and transgressive themes, one fan even comparing them to Costes. Notable fans of EBDVI include Geza X and Thurston Moore.

Deletion of EBDVI
editFirst this page was deleted for lacking references; next, it was deleted with reason given as "appearing on non-notable compilations is not a claim to notability". If the compilations in question contained indeed notable acts, how does that make the compilations non-notable?
- Just to help You, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia of all things that matter. When dealing with musical groups it is important to mention a couple of releases or awards... feydey (talk) 01:28, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'll list the albums the band has put out, if I can get past the struggle I'm having with another party. His statement that "having a notable group contribute to an otherwise non-notable album does not make every group on that album notable" is true to a point, but consider all the now notable entities that became so primarily through association with other notables when they were still "unknowns"...
Userfied your article
editI moved the article to your talk space here feel free to work on it and get it to the point where the claims to significance and notability are readily apparent and then either move it back to the mainspace yourself or ask for somebody else to take a look at it.---I'm Spartacus! Speedy deletion of Edith Bunker's Demonized Vomit Insurance
editA tag has been placed on Edith Bunker's Demonized Vomit Insurance requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 06:04, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
The article The Dramatics (Martha Colburn and Jason Willett) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not a notable band, no reliable sources to verify the article. Does not pass WP:BAND.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mattg82 (talk) 23:50, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
