editYou are correct, copyright infringements and blatant advertising are deleted without warning or discussion on enwiki, that's the point of speedy deletion. If asked, I will always explain why I have deleted an article. Because of the sheer numbers of articles on en-wiki, it's not feasible to post an explanation after every deletion. - We cannot carry material copied from a website that is not explicitly public domain, since that may well be an infringement of copyright. That is illegal under US law (the en-wiki servers are based in Florida) and EU law. I imagine that Hungarian law is similar to the rest of the EU. There is nothing to discuss. On all en-wiki edit pages there is this sentence Content that violates any copyrights will be deleted. I think that is a fairly clear warning. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:41, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
