Please take note of the fact that you are ineligable for voting on VfD issues until you have a reasonable number of edits to articles on your contributions list. Joining just to vote on VfD is not allowed. -- Reene :: talk 04:13, Dec 6, 2004 (UTC)
This account was, in fact created several weeks ago. I have, in fact, contributed several edits to the page in question, although I didn't log in. The official policy on eligibility is ambiguous. However, the fact that the account was created before the VfD would serioulsy call into question whether this is a sockpuppet account, and would absolutely refute the allegation that this account was created solely to vote in this VfD. It's difficult to create an account to vote on a VfD before the VfD was posted. rerdavies 04:37, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Two things:
- The date an account is created is not saved or logged anywhere. The only thing people can go by is the date of the first edit.
- That said, if you had created the account before the VfD that does not mean you can vote in it without any other contributions.
Sockpuppets are not the only concern. The simple fact is that users with nothing but VfD voting on their contributions lists usually have their votes thrown out. It matters not if you contributed as an anonymous user before. Reene✎ 07:18, Dec 6, 2004 (UTC)
