Capitalizing "Flight"
I'm not certain why that was adopted as the standard. However, googling some famous flights like "Pan Am Flight 103" seems to show that most (though not all) other media do capitalize it. The most important thing is to have predictability and consistency within Wikipedia, so that when you type in a link, you don't inadvertently get a redlink merely because you chose a different capitalization standard. -- Curps 15:08, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
Gateways
I replied to your comment on the airline infobox talk page. Since for most airlines, international gateways are either focus cities or hubs, I'm not sure another section is necessary. Dbinder 13:04, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
Cats vs. "some" cats
Hi, if you wish to suggest that toilet training has more potential success, than I implied, I welcome such a change. However, I do assert that some cats are just not trainable by *humans*. Litter training is special, since digging in the dirt is natural and often (not always) taught by mom. My attitude, comes partly from cats that are especially violent, and hostile to unwanted human interference/handling. For instance, one cat I knew, was so violent, he had to be sedated with a pill mixed in his food in advance of being taken to the vet. I doubt that cat could be trained to use the toilet. As well, certain cats have a blinding fear of water, and one traumatic experience could keep them away from a toilet (while they would never be afraid of dirt/litter). --rob 19:56, 22 August 2005 (UTC)
- In reply to your question, the ultra-violent cat I mentioned to you (the one that needed sedation), probably wasn't socialized properly, since it was adopted from a shelter when several months old, with unknown origins, and may have lived on the street. However, it seemed to be something he was "born with". I say that, because wild animals (cats or not) generally won't be pointlessly (as opposed to defensively) violent to the point of self-inflicted-pain. While, wild animals (cats or not) generally don't make good pets, they're usually not so dangerous. But, this is speculation on my part, so I won't be putting that in the article. It is truly amazing how unique every cat is, and how hard it is to generalize. --rob 07:18, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
- Hi, I actually edited the cat article (putting back "main article") two-seconds before your last message to me. So, please ignore my edit comments. I thought we had a disagreement, but it sounds like there's no disagrement. --rob 08:35, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
Panther
Is this your cat? Love the pic btw. It made me smile. --mav 22:56, 27 August 2005 (UTC)
I love the toilet trained cat. Can Panther flush =P and what does the cat do instead of covering what they've done?
- Usually he just comes and tells me what he's done, and I can flush it for him. I'm glad he can't flush, since he might not conserve water as well as we do! ;) Reward 18:35, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
Hey a bit off topic, but what breed is your cat, it really resembles my cat and I always wondered what breed my cat is. Sorry if I'm being incredibly ignorant of cats :) ≈ Maurauth (nemesis) 12:58, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. As far as we know, he's a typical domestic short hair, and appears to have some Siamese features and temperament. He was rescued from a park as a kitten, so it's a bit of a mystery. Reward 17:32, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
NWA
Thank you for your support of keeping the fleet codes on the NWA article. I changed them back since there was no prior mention of a conflict on the talk page and was snapped at over it. I agree with your views in that we should have the proper information on the page. In response to his argument that the NWA site should have information like that, it is ironic that they in fact do not use those codes except as internal references. NW036 19:42, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:RCcover8504.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:RCcover8504.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 16:38, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use Image:RCmap8504.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:RCmap8504.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 16:39, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Cat Toilet Picture
To think that you could encourage people to have their cats use the toilet, when you know very well that the toxoplasmosis gondii in the cats' excretion is harmful to the endangered sea otters, is beyond me. What kind of man takes a picture of his cat on the can, anyways? And this cat-toilet craze of yours has been going on for years! According to my math, Panther is now 12 years old, and has been using the made-for-human-butts-only toilets since the feeble age of 6 months. I'm sure you have receieved word about this before, and I can only hope that by now you have taken action. If you ask someone you know and trust, I'm sure they too will agree that the life of a sea otter is much more important than the comfort of a cat's bowel movements.
Toilet?
I noticed the picture of your "cat-using toilet" (which grammatcially means a toilet who uses cats... genuis). You think this is funny? How about if I take a picture of you on the can? Are you aware of the taxoplasma gondii threat that in our world today? This is a threat to publc safety abroad. I mean, just look at the picture. Does that look like a happy cat? And what about the sea otters and pregnant women in the world? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.219.149.131 (talk) 06:36, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:NWmap8606.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:NWmap8606.jpg. Image:Nw_b377_cutaway_view.jpg
I have tagged Image:Nw_b377_cutaway_view.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 13:16, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Panther on lolcats
Panther is a big kid now over on lolcats, but without attribution of the photo. You might want to enforce your copyright. 71.234.215.133 (talk) 13:37, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi. Please do not put underscores "_" in wikilinks - spaces are far better. Thanks! — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 03:35, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
