Fixing my tips page
editThanks for fixing that, I hadn't noticed; if I figure out another method, I'll let you know. Good to see another Linux user on Wikipedia too, I use Gentoo myself. Oh yeah, remember you can sign your name on talk page posts using ~~~~ , it just makes it easier to figure out who's talking to me (: —siroχo 22:48, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

editSpeedy deletion nomination of MuseScore.com
editHello Riaanvn,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged MuseScore.com for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Riaanvn. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page MuseScore, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Bbb23 (talk) 11:54, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- Good day Bbb23. Thank you very much. I am a user of MuseScore (the scorewriter software) and a community contributor. I have declared my involvement:

- at the top of the MuseScore talk page.

- Is there anything else I should do? Riaanvn (talk) 15:06, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- In addition, my user page was deleted today.
- User:Riaanvn
- In there I also stated my affiliation. I can’t tell how to undelete my user page so that I can fix what the user that deleted it, had issue with.
- regards Riaanvn (talk) 18:57, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- Pinging @Bbb23: to make sure they are aware of Riaanvn's reply. Robby.is.on (talk) 19:17, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- Riaanvn, after reviewing your explanation, I've restored your userpage. I'm a little on the fence now about the COI, but in answer to your question, no, I don't think there's anything else you need to do. Just be very careful about adding language to articles that is not encyclopedic and creating unnecessary articles, e.g., MuseScore.com. Good luck.--Bbb23 (talk) 20:25, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks @Bbb23 . I have cleaned up my user page.
- adding language to articles that is not encyclopedic - noted. If you believe there are specific examples, feel free to point them out, revert them, etc. The
- and creating unnecessary articles, e.g., MuseScore.com - noted as well. I still think it is a candidate for a wikipedia page. I was hoping to create the page and flesh out as I go along, but I will stage the draft, following the information you and @Robby.is.on provided, then resubmit. Riaanvn (talk) 08:58, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
