Editor with more vandal edits than warnings
editThere's another editor vandalizing Skyline High School (Oakland, California) this evening. He hasn't vandalized past 'final warning' yet, but the history definitely shows more vandal edits that he wasn't warned about. I've asked for the page to be semi-protected for a week due to all the vandalism. Should I wait for the editor to vandalize again before reporting? DarkAudit 06:36, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, please. Often it's just kids messing around on a bored evening, and we should give them the benefit of the doubt. Riana ⁂ 06:38, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'll take your word for it. I'll check back in the morning to see if anything is warranted. DarkAudit 06:41, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
This has become more complicated. It's now up to a stack of as many as seven different editors making the exact same vandal edit to the article. I've opened a checkuser on the lot. They're already blocked for their vandalism, but the evidence would suggest that there's a sockpuppeteer at work. I don't believe I would be out of line at this point to report any user who would come in making the identical vandal edit, given this preponderance of evidence that the user is not acting in good faith. DarkAudit 02:23, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Tarragon!
editYou! Well, you were true to your word Riana. I've just asked Hussy (Husond), but I'll ask you too. Is a an RfA what marriage is like? Fine for about 10 votes or so, and after that, it's just questions and judgment! Where have you been? Explain that edit! Where did that stain come from? Thanks for your support (hopefully I'll convince them that "Tarragon" is worth 20 Supports)! Mega-Cheers, Dfrg.msc 07:57, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

editHello Riana :) I noticed you were editing regularly again and I was just wondering if you're still interested in admin coaching me, I got started of with User:Michaelas10 on the coaching page so I wa just wodering if you were still interested and if yes if you wouldn't mind leaving a few questions. - Michaelas10 sent me an email saying you had agreed that I wasn't ready for adminship just yet (which is fine!!), he also said that you both were going to monitor my contributions over the next few months which too is fine, so I'd just like to stop by and say thanks for what you've done so far — its really helped. I also think I should tell you that I edited as Tellyaddict between October 2006 and early May 2007 but changed to this account to get a fresh start in early May just so I'm not totally a newbie, I have got quite a lot of experience here. Anyway, thanks again and happy editing!

The Sunshine Man 19:56, 2 June 2007 (UTC)- OK, thanks! I dont really do much vandalism reverting now (even though when I first edited as Tellyaddict I did); anyway however I still monitor the recent changes sometimes and report to AIV if necessary, I'm thinking of waiting for RfA until Christmas time, then that would give me loads of time to make improvements. editJust wanted to let you know that I opened an RfC on myself in response to the concerns raised during my RfA over my actions in the Gary Weiss dispute. The RfC is located here and I welcome any comments or questions you may have. CLA 05:06, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Re:Discussion on Wikipedia:Administrator's noticeboard about your actions
editHi, well I am sorry you have been grossly misinformed, it is not *my actions* it is the others, I try to promote niceness with my talk page headers and etc, but so far not many nice Wikipediaa editors I do not know where to go on here because some is coming from admins, I am trying to talk about it with Rockpocket to figure a way to get this resolved, because I do not think it is right Wikipedia be a place for accusations, hate or prejudice of any kind, and it for being so big! So I think it is extraordinary insane for there to be a board about my actions. There seems to be a double stranded policy on Wikipeida, I really hope that will change, thank you!--Migospia †♥ 08:29, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- erm, I find it ironic that you came to my talkpage accusing me of making ATTACKS to other editors who are trying to improve the encyclopedia. Please you can not be serious by that statement, please? I am a bit confused. I admit when I got blocked I was greatly confused and angry because it had no right to happen and then after so, someone who actually should have gotten blocked got away because they were fiends with the admin; but since then I believe I have been amazingly calm with all the accusations and treatment being thrown at me--Migospia †♥ 08:36, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Accusing someone of being racist, when they are trying to help, is an attack. Riana ⁂ 08:37, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Again I did not accusing someone of being racist, I never called you a rascit!!! Never. And who was trying to help me that I apparently called a racist?--Migospia †♥ 08:43, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Sure :) Now I know for next time. Thanks! (I'll remove the drv) CloudNine 12:11, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Gathering - deletion
editI do not know whether this deletion was proposed for a time, I have been away for a week and have not had a chance to comment.
Would you please restore this page? It is neither a POV essay advocating Panocracy, nor a very overlong dictionary definition. It is a description of a practical approach to decision making that is in use. If you think that the article needs improving, please suggest how.

editIn regards to the vandal who vandalism my user page, 210.1.193.45, I've used WHOIS to report him to the ISP for breaching the ToS of the conditions of user. Thank you and the other users for saving my page. I guess this makes vandalism count up to 9. -- Warfreak 09:55, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
BILL STITT
editHave noticed you have taken the liberty of deleted my page on Bill Stitt. Why? This individual is something of a folk hero and of considerably more relevance than some of the nonsense that appears on Wikipedia.
Yes, the five days expired but it's not as if I'm on wikipedia every day checking my entries.
--Evil Stu
- I did not 'take the liberty' - it was deleted under the proposed deletion process. You are free to recreate the article. However, it will most likely be deleted again. By and large, bloggers are not considered notable. Cheers, Riana ⁂ 15:46, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

about a dispute
editHi, you probably don't know me. I am the one who asks for a protection on the VT massacre and you granted it for 2 days. Since you are an admin, I have some questions about wikipedia rules. I am recently in a dispute with another user User:Ksy92003 about whether or not I should update the score of a NBA basketball game before it is officially end. He claims that my edits have violated WP:NOT#PUBLISHER and threaten to block me for that violation. Whether or not I break the rule, I am not going to discuss that. My point is that he, in association with an admin User:Wizardman, are probably thinking that I should be blocked for violation. My position is that I have not violate any rule. Even if I did, all I did is trying to contribute and should be protected by WP:IAR. If I got blocked for this, I fear that I may not be able to continue improve wikipedia. Could you give me some of your experience or inputs on what I should do. I am trying to use WP:3O to help settle this dispute. Thanks Chris 22:54, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Torrisholme vandalism
editHi Riana, the sock you reverted earlier ([3], [4], and [5]) is a sock of Graham Heavy (talk · contribs). If you look at the history of Torrisholme, you'll get an idea of the persistence of these socks [6]. (If you want to watch the pages he vandalises, it's helpful to have more eyes.) Anyway, we're trying to WP:DENY this puppeteer with WP:RBI (or revert, report, ignore, in my case), for what it's worth, so the socks aren't getting tagged as such anymore. And good luck on your exams and such, and if you ever want your mop back, drop me a note about your RfA. Cheers! Flyguy649talkcontribs 05:35, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

- Hey TD, if the issue requires admin assistance I currently can't help... but what in particular is wrong? I had a glance and nothing seems particularly unstable, but I am a little sleepy :) Riana ⁂ 16:51, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Question
editHi Riana? I have a problem with a user. On Saturday I asked Can't sleep, clown will eat me (talk · contribs) a simple question [7] and he said that I was trolling his talk page. Asking a question is not trolling. He responded on my talk page [8] He is a very stubborn administrator and does not respond in good faith. I am really confused about this. Like I said: "Asking a question is not trolling" Do you think I did something wrong? Or he did something wrong? I would like to know. Thank you. KingLopezContribs 08:58, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Funnily enough. I did not see you trolling anywhere. I checked the history of the talk page, your comments were innocuous, definitely. But knowing that the Clown is an exemplery administrator, there must be more to the situation that meets the eye. I'll leave this pretty girl to deal with *teh* situation. :) — Nearly Headless Nick {C} 12:25, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Ok? Well what do you think about this Riana? KingLopezContribs 01:16, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
- Not sure - I'll have a word with CSCWEM if you like. Riana ⁂ 03:42, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
Yes please talk to CSCWEM. That is really bothering me. Tell CSCWEM that questions are not trolling. Thank you. KingLopezContribs 09:05, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well, Lopez, talk pages are mostly preserved for specific Wikipedia/article-related problems, and asking personal questions (e.g. "Why wasn't your username blocked?" and "Why do you semi-protect your user talk page?") is considered trolling. Continually edit-warring to keep them on his talk page certainly doesn't help the situation — not like their answers are so difficult to guess anyway. Just my personal opinion. RfA comment...

Question
editI've almost always agreed with your RfA votes in the past, but I don't quite fully understand your reasons for opposing DrKiernan's RfA - you cited WP:NOPRO and WP:YESPRO (presumably referring to the present RfD discussions) but I looked at the histories and I couldn't see anything wrong. Did I miss something important, or misinterpret the whole situation, or what? Waltontalk 18:10, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, OK, I get it now. I only misunderstood because there are RfDs open on those two redirects and DrKiernan participated in both of them. Looking at the talkpage you cited I still don't 100% get why you're opposing, but you're entitled to your opinion. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up. Waltontalk 18:22, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah... I'll have to go on wikibreak next week due to exams. :-( Besides which, have you noticed that CAT:CSD suddenly seems to have filled to the brim? It was nearly empty yesterday... Waltontalk 18:46, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've got three hours of solid exams on Mon 18th... fun. Plus, it'll be the first time since March that I've gone a whole day without editing Wikipedia. I am a true addict. Although my Wikipediholic score's actually gone down, since people keep removing questions from the test... Waltontalk 19:49, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Hey Riana, when you get the chance, could you please check the edits you made to the script? It's stopped working for me; I click the vote link, I put in my reason, then it takes me to the edit page with nothing updated. - G1ggy Talk/Contribs 04:51, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hey G1ggy, I was told to make the edits by a non-admin who knows JS... I don't know any myself :( Could you ping one of the more clue-y admins on IRC or something? Riana ⁂ 04:55, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

- It worked when I used it... maybe some scripts in your monobook are tangling up? (Yeah, I'm very good at JS :P ) Um, sorry mate, I'm not sure what's wrong, I really suck at code. If you have IRC access I recommend getting someone smarter than me to have a look at it :) Riana ⁂ 05:06, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Are you ready for a challenge?!?
editI saw your name at Wikipedia:WikiProject Disambiguation. The Sophia disambiguation page is in dire need of someone to clean it up. It seems to have migrated into an article page on "Sophia". If you would fix it, I would be most grateful. -- Jreferee (Talk) 22:23, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

RfA
editThank you visiting and commenting at my RfA, although I am still bemused by the amount of opposition based solely on my edits at MPFAP. All my edits to the actual page itself were relatively minor, a few words each time. In contrast, my edits to the talk page are substantial, often with detailed data and close discussion. Indeed, my edits have been designed to approach consensus, have often been neutrally worded and attempt to moderate the extreme positions, not support either one or the other. See for examples: [9][10][11][12][13][14][15]. I do hope that my extra comments address your concerns. Even if they don't, thanks for stopping by! DrKiernan 11:20, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
