Speedy deletion of Michael Rideout
editA tag has been placed on Michael Rideout requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Blanking your own talk page
editHi, Ridem92, welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you're enjoying your time here, and I can see you've already made some good contributions. If you hadn't already been welcomed, I've just given you a welcome message above - please use it to learn about our rules, policies and guidelines; and how to edit as best you can. It's about one of those guidelines that I'm here to talk to you about.
You recently removed either all or a lot of the content from your own talk page - please don't do this, it's considered bad etiquette. Messages are placed here for your attention, and it can be very useful for others to see these too. For instance, the welcome message above and the date stamp in it tell others that you've been welcomed recently, and that you have the welcome there to show you where to go. If you had any warnings placed on your page, it helps others to know that you have been warned about a certain thing before. Removing warnings (as opposed to just notices and miscellaneous messages) from your talk page is considered by many to be vandalism. Trust me, the resources I've given you in the 'Welcome!' section above are VERY useful - I wish I'd had them when I signed up, but I had to learn the hard way.
If your talk page feels like it's getting too long or cluttered, the established way to shorten it is by archiving your talk page, specifically the Move procedure. This also means that you have an archived history of messages in case you need to refer back to them at some point. Anyway, thanks for reading this long message, and hope to see you around some time. Thanks. —Vanderdecken∴ ∫ξφ 19:33, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of I Care Campaign, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.bclocalnews.com/okanagan_similkameen/vernonmorningstar/news/17120486.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 15:56, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to 2 Girls 1 Cup, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 15:50, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. The article Siphonostele has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Wikipedia is not a dictionary
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. TheDude2006 (talk) 22:22, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
