You cannot have a Wikipedia account in another person's name

edit

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, RiverAlexander1, is an impersonation of a living person; even though (you claim) you are his mother, this is not permitted here.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Please also take serious note of Anthony's message below - if you have a conflict of interest with Wikipedia relating to River Alexander, you should be extremely cautious when editing pages relating to him. It would be far more advisable, in fact, to post your proposed changes on the article's talkpage using the {{request edit}} template. Yunshui  08:48, 28 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

I am requesting to be unblocked as I am the parent of River Alexander Aguirre and need to edit his Wikipedia page. Thank you. Sonya Dee Lewis mother of River Alexander Aguirre

NOTE: I will gladly provide you a copy of his birth certificate, passport, and social security card as soon as you let me know where I am to send it.

River's Wikipedia page was made and has incorrect information on it that I would like to correct. I will send you whatever proof you need that I am his parent and he is a minor...we wish to correct his page. I am not impersonating a living person. I am not pretending to be my son. I am River's mother and he is a minor, therefore I have to be the administrator of his website, Wikipedia page, etc. Thank you very much.

There is no need to prove your identity; this is because you, if unblocked, have exactly the same editing rights here as any other contributor; no more, no less. You can contribute to the wikipedia page relating to River Alexander, but you absolutely cannot be the administrator of that or of any other page here. Please bear in mind that, if you are unblocked, any edit you make to any biographical article (about anyone) will need to be backed up with reliable secondary sources, or it will be removed. Even if you are indeed the parent of this person you must follow wikipedia editing guidelines or face the possibility of being prevented from editing here.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 22:31, 26 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
