Every time I try to add the original co founder of Quicken Loans it gets removed. Ron Berman incorporated the company ( Rock Financial originally ) and was co founder and 50/50 owner with Dan Gilbert. This can be confirmed by checking Michigan corporate records ( filed in 1985). Also DanGilberts Wikipedia bio and many other articles if searched. This is supposed to be accurate and no other major company in America has the co founder keep getting removed from the company profile. Please advise. Rjb609 (talk) 12:54, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
- You claim this fact is easily verifiable. Then verify it. You want the content in, provide a WP:RS. That's all it takes. Attach a reference to show that your claim is valid. It isn't at all difficult. John from Idegon (talk) 13:16, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Rjb609. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Quicken Loans, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You have just self identified as a person who falls under our policy as a WP:PAID editor. Stop editing the article and comply with the requirements outlined. You are in violation of Wikipedia's terms of use. John from Idegon (talk) 14:17, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
I just asked you for your help and you are being so un cooperative. How do I fix this problem? I ststarted this company and someone removed me. What do I do to correct it? And why don’t you care if what I am telling you is true? Rjb609 (talk) 14:33, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
- Look, I don't know what to tell you that I haven't told you already. Let's try it in third grader language:
- Read WP:RS
- Review all the numerous sources that you claim exists and narrow that list to ones that meet RS.
- Choose the best known source from your narrowed list that completely verifies what you want to add.
- Copy the url for the precise webpage you want to use.
- Add the content you want to the article.
- Immediately after the content, add <ref>the url you copied</ref>
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It isn't social media. Every single bit in an article must come from published sources. Don't expect any further help from me. Goodbye. John from Idegon (talk) 14:48, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
