Editing Wikipedia

edit

Hello, thanks for joining Wikipedia! I notice that all your edits are on the topics of London Women's Clinic, and I wonder if you have some connection, or "conflict of interest" with them, such as that you are an employee or contractor or being paid for editing Wikipedia to market them.

This isn't necessarily a problem, but if this is so, you must immediately file a disclosure statement explaining any conflict of interest to ensure transparency. Here's an example of what a disclosure looks like - but let me know if you have any kind of questions about this, privately by email is fine if you’re having problems. You should also ensure that all your edits are factual and cannot be considered in any way promotional, and are backed up by citations to reliable sources demonstrating them to be true. An automated message explaining this is added below. Hope this is OK, let me know if you have any thoughts or questions. Blythwood (talk) 20:08, 7 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, Rjwmccaffrey. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.

Hi there is sufficient off wiki information to show that you are probably involved in undeclared WP:PAID editing or at the least you have a very very strong WP:COI and despite requests to make the obligatory disclosure you have not done so. Please declare any conflicts of interest that have. Failure to do so may involve sanctions. Dom from Paris (talk) 17:20, 16 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

This kind of auto-promotional editing is totally unacceptable. You should no longer directly edit any articles with which you have a conflict of interest as this shows you have, http://handembroidery.com/meet-the-team/ and go throught WP:Edit request procedure. You must disclose your links on either your talk page or the different talk pages of the articles or preferably both.
If you edit again without making the appropriate disclosure I shall have no other choice than to make a report to the administrators as the community takes a very dim view of undeclared paid editing. --Dom from Paris (talk) 13:19, 23 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
